well im realy a big fan of horror so im gonna sk you folks for your favorite top 3 scariest game mine is
1.penumbra black plague
2.S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC
3.FEAR 2 Project origin
4.DooM 3
5.killing floor (so many panics)

But, I don't play horror, so I guess I can't really add anything, except that this was confusing.

Penumbra - for the reasons I stated in the "Crap your pants" thread. Edit- I only have one- it that ok?

- well for the record the only game that really scared my was the tech demo for penumbra. It blew my mind, Im in first person, trapped in an abondoned bomb shelter, that may also be a research facility- and what weapons do I have...

thats right my battery-dead flashlight, and some flares.

The first 10mins of the game were scary as hell, mainly because there were NO ENEMIES

the tension got so bad that when I finally saw the first 'thing' after a good 30-45mins of scary ambient, or worse complete silence- I literally threw my mouse across the room and panicked.

A good pointer for people who want to try out any of these game, dont use a chordless mouse...

I won't give you a top ten but Forbidden Siren made me crap myself so much
Seriously you get encouraged for enemies to come close and when they are pale, shrieking ghosts and the game is largely played in the dark. Loved that game

2. Condemned 1 and 2
3. Resident Evil 1 remake for Gamecube
4. Bioshock (The first playthrough)
5. Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, scared the shit out of me when I was about ten.
