Topics You're Getting Sick Of...

ANYWAYS!

Felt I'd start up a shrine to all the topics that people are getting sick of hearing about. The type of topic that you hear come up and just groan and face-palm. The type of topic that you REALLY just wish people will go ahead and move on from. This isn't necessarily relegated to topics you specifically find around these forums...for instance, perhaps someone is sick about hearing about the Zimmerman/Treyvon Martin case.

I'll start by taking the most obvious one:

For fuck's sake people...how are we NOT done bitching about the ending to Mass Effect 3?

We alllllllllll get it, don't we? Casey Hudson is the douchiest douche that ever douched out of Douchington State Douchiversity and he's most likely best friends with that other PR douche back in December that exposed his douchebaggery during that whole special controller delivery scandal.

Yes, for the love of god, I fucking KNOW they butchered the ending and left out a ton of crap, I've known that for weeks now.

So why, good lord WHY are people STILL digging at this? Why are people STILL coming up with new topics saying "HOLY SHIT I FOUND ANOTHER REASON TO HATE THE MASS EFFECT 3 ENDING! BECAUSE THE 7,839 REASONS YOU ALREADY HAVE JUST AREN'T ENOUGH!!! YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH YOU SHOULD REALLY HATE THE ENDING!!!"

It's moved well beyond "beating a dead horse", the equine has turned to dust and we're using a steamroller to make sure it's REALLY smushed into the dirt.

Seriously, my frustration with people still trying to find new reasons to hate the ending to ME 3 is very quickly starting to surpass my frustration towards the ending to ME 3 itself.

So, that out of the way and off my chest, what topics are you, my lovely fellow Escapists, getting sick and tired of seeing pop up? Whether on the forums or just in every day conversation.

Truthfully, I'm burning out on forums in general. So much rage. So many battles of opinion. A lot of that is just me though. I come off sounding snotty,hypocritical, opinionated, and 'holier than though' most of the time, and people rightfully jump all over that.

I will admit that those baby animals are adorable, and they make an excellent argument. As for goat's milk, I refuse. It is seriously the best thing I have ever put on my cereal. Really, just try it. It's like milk squeezed from God's own tits. I believe that baby goat would agree with me on that at least. And just because I am a master of penis lore and have spent a bit more quality time with goats than the average person doesn't mean I'm obsessed, not that such a thing is unreasonable. Just look at that thing. LOOK AT IT.

The friendzone threads certainly can get pretty exhausting. There's only so many ways to phrase "ask her out, if she says no, there's other fish in the sea" before you get to the point where you have to ask if an 18 year old gamer thinks it's the greatest girl in the world because she is or because his lack of confidence is preventing him from meeting people that aren't going to leave him flapping in the breeze.

Also "books you didn't like" threads. Every time I see someone say they didn't like Huck Finn or The Old Man and the Sea because they're just boring stories I die a little inside.

Threads complaining about particular escapist contributors... I'll just say most of the time it seems like they're just jelly and leave it at that.

I wasn't going to comment, but you just had to bring in baby seal, didn't you?

Anyway, I'm getting sick of ME3 (or last-big-game) topics. Seriously, we got bored then annoyed then actively hurt by ME3 threads. A mere two or three weeks after it came out (well, Zeel and the other threads before that didn't help). Thankfully, things have finally started to die down and return to normal (or something).

The other type of threads that I'm sick of is the "Why does everybody like/dislike what I dislike/like?". They just don't stop. And are utterly annoying to boot - "Oh, I saw somebody who hated what I like, why am I the only one who likes it?" - yeah, sure, you're unique.

But I swear - this guy [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view] makes the worst threads of all time. OF ALL TIME!
