What did you think of this little 'Diablo clone'? I find it a good diversion, it has a fresh art style with some depth to be found. I like the atmosphere, and the fact that the maps are generated randomly. Sure, it's a clickfest, but one that is as simple or complex as you make it, toying around with different builds, difficulties and mods can be very rewarding.

After a while, it becomes a bit of a grind, but I then leave it for some time and come back to it, and it's fun again. I'm sure it appeals to different people, some will hate it, some not, I'm just interested to see who likes it and why.

I'm a level 25 Destroyer, and am starting a second Alchemist playthrough.

I have over 40 hours on this game. Considering I bought it for $5 I love the damn thing.

The Warrior guy really screwed up my idea of Roleplaying, but was surprise, the Alchemist could combat too!

It satisfied my Diablo itch but the fact I could not play online dampened my enthusiasm. Without other people to help with the grind, odds were quite good I'd never complete a set which made loot whoring terriby unapealing.

Will it run OK on a bog-standard Macbook?
I do not know if there is a Mac compatible version (I have not looked) but the game runs fine on a netbook so I have to assume the Macbook has the horsepower to run it.

I LOVED it- loved the art, loved the music, loved the way it played every other RPG ever while still being sort of original. So much clicking though!

It's amazing until the carpal tunnel syndrome kicks in.
Sorry mate, but English isn't my first language - 'carpal tunnel syndrome'?
Repetitive stress injury in the wrist. Caused by repetitive motions over long periods of time. Typing, machine shop work, and video games. Torchlight is a mouse-heavy game.

cool game but two GLARING faults.

A story/presentation that is very uninteresting (compared to the godly Diablo 2)...and...NO MULTIPLAYER!

If the person responsible for that decision is still working at whatever backwards gaming company made Torchlight he should be fired immediately and chased from the premises with a shotgun loaded with salt. How this game could be made with no multiplayer option is BEYOND me.
