Probably not, Jack may make some Doctor Who appearances as he's going to live to be a million years old if the Face of Boe thing is true.CuervoJoe said:I do wonder if they'll ever be another series of Torchwood now that Gwen is the only one left.
He's been seen on set for the Dr Who specials after the waters of mars

If you've seen the second episode, you'll KNOW that this is aimed at a more, mature, audience... That's why there is such a difference in styles. That and the fact Jack ain't no Timelord...
You are obviously forgetting "Sarah Jane Adventures", categoically the most cheap and vile attempt to milk the Doctor Who cash cow. She's dreadful and the kids are no better. I know it's a children's show but God help us all.lolmynamewastaken said:i thought the ending was the worst thing thats ever happened in any kind of doctor who related thing. but yeah, it wasn't a bad week really...
And why was the glass for the container bulletproof? It was almost like they were determined to protect the alien.dunnace said:I enjoyed it, but I always wondered, why didn't they just open the door to the aliens container?

As for Torchwood, I really enjoyed the series as it kept the suspense up throughout. The problem was the ending, with 20 minutes to go in the final episode everything was still going to hell and you know it's a rush job ending in those circumstances. I know they were trying to maintain the mystique of the 456 but we never knew anything about it, what it was capable of, so its ability to suddenly release a virus seemed very convenient.
My feeling is:
With Ianto dead and Jack run away, Gwen will probably try and re-adjust but won't be able to and will reform an ad-hoc Torchwood with what resources she has left. They'll plod along coping as best they can until they come up against something big, which is when she'll try and contact Jack, and bring him back in. Or they'll get one extra use out of Tennant and they'll have a heart to heart where the Doctor shows him where he's needed most (Gwen's makeshift Torchwood). The upshot is Myles and Barrowman will be back (a good thing) but they'll lump us with brand new characters without any buildup to their inclusion, with backstories they can milk episodes out of.
I'm praying one of these is not Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) the worst actor in the franchise by a long way and undoubtedly a contender for worst companion. But that's a rant for another day...
