Well, I frequently drive into the city for this store called L'Occitane that sells amazing perfumes/skin products... But I'm assuming you're neither female nor metrosexual?

Uh.. Hard to say when you have live there... CN Tower? Go watch the Blue Jays fail? Find some musicians on the beaches?

Google tourist. :p

Kensington Market is fairly interesting, if off the 'beaten path'.
Otherwise, the standard touristy stuff: CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, the Eaton's Center...

I don't usually goto Toronto for touristy things...mostly because I can't stand Toronto.

L'Occitane isn't exclusive to Toronto... I mean, I don't know what this shop is, i'm way too manly for that.

I know, but I just drop by there every time I go.

OH! There's this amazing little Italian restaurant called Dimi's, on, erm... Cumberland, I think? They have incredible chicken.

...So hungry now... :(

as has been said there's the CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame and the Eaton Centre

depending on what you want to do there's tons of other things

The Silver Snail - roughly Queen and Spadina, it's a huge comic book shop
the whole Queen and Spadina area for neat stuff
HMV on Yonge St
World's Biggest Bookstore
Nathan Phillips Square - Resident Evil 2's big battle at the end was filmed here
Yonge St - the big battle with Abomination in The Incredible Hulk was filmed here
University of Toronto - the university in The Incredible Hulk

between the CN Tower and Eaton Centre is the food and entertainment district

i could point out a few more spots where tv shows and movies were filmed around Toronto, i like to play where in Toronto is that with my friends when watching movies

Exactly the things I like, thanks.

You could pretend it's for your sister (and flirt with the [I assume] female vendors)

Excellent idea :)

I heard the pollution there is quite atrocious, I would advise a gas mask.
I had no problem sleeping at Chernobyl, so I think a little pollution won't hurt :-D

ohhh I knew a little shop called "Aroma" that would make any aftershave and moisterizer to any requirements you wanted, extra lanolin? BANG ITS IN THERE!, hint of lavender to refresh pale skin? BANG ITS IN THERE!

Shame they are shut now, they added gold leaf once for me in my baby oil, so when out in Ibiza I had gold flake like glitter over me, I looked the business and I smelt nice.

I'm not gay
*burps*
see?

Eaton's Center is a good place if you wish to celebrate

I know, those girls rocked, they thought I was gay so they also made me gold lip gloss to go with it, bless them.

I think its the 400 pound gold trainers I had that made them think that I was gay, oh and the fact i'm well groomed.

The brewery district is a pretty cool place to check out, you can walk down Queen st. and I'm sure you'll find something interesting.

Avoid Church st. if you're not interested in seeing Toronto's flourishing gay district.

Sounds like a good idea, that way I can [try to] compare the local beer to south Germany's :)

To answer OP's question, yes I have a great attraction to recommend, you just need a time machine.
Damn, anyone got a Tardis or a DeLorean ? :-D

It's actually the first time in 28 years that I try to do something for my birthday and it's really a coincidence that I'm in Canada at the time, but good moment to make the most of it :)

oh if you're into drinking then i will say go to Feathers it's in the Beaches region of Toronto, it's a whiskey bar and has something like 300+ types of scotch whiskey on hand

and if you're going on a friday, depends on where you want to go, tho Savage Garden is the EBM/Industrial club

also Shoot 'em Up was shot along Spadina, including part at The Velvet Underground (that's the club in the movie)

oh there is the Toronto Zoo as well.

i would tell you where the new Dawn of the Dead was filmed but they torn the mall down shortly after filming
