The cable for my adapter that plugs into the wall and the adapter is having problems. In the red circle in the picture above is the problem area. It seems the connection where the cable joins the male end has become a bit loose, cause occasional arcing. Before I get it replaced I want to try using electrical tape to strengthen the connection. I am curious before I try this is if it's a bad idea? Also if you have any other solutions please share, besides getting it replaced of course(that's what I plan to do if the electrical tape solution is a failure).
