Stoneage. I would love to see group of cavemen getting killed by another group of cavemen riding mammoths.

If anyone can offer more opinions than that they get cookies.
I want something Far Eastern, bigger than Japan.

Wait... finished playing? I assume you mean you've played a single campaign as a single faction? If that's the case, that's nothing like finishing.

I'd like to see something along the lines of Shogun, but set in the Three Kingdoms era of China instead, which would place it around the third century, which is a period in time not very well explored within the Total War series.

Yeah i would like to see something set in china/the asian area not covered by Empite:tw

And maybe some sort of Africa:tw from the 19th century onwards, although Britain could be far too powerful in that game unless they were hamstrung in some way.

I wouldn't mind if they expanded shogun with a Korean peninsula campaign. Then I could play as general Yi, I think it was. I don't really want them to go anywhere near the warring states of china cause it feels so overdone for me. Other then that perhaps they could do a world war 1 version.

That might be hard to make, due to the difficulty of keeping all the special interest organizations considering the sort of moral ambiguity about that part of colonizing the world, happy and not generating a huge media uproar.

Not that I think it would be a bad idea at all personally, but I suspect that there would be a lot of debate regarding that.

Not arguing with you about the Chinese warring states period, just wondering when that was last done properly in a game, since I can't remember any for many years, but I might have missed them.

Yeah there would most likely be uproar but come on, it's no worse than what you do to the native americans, north africans, indians or even other europeans in empire:tw. The way to get around the uproar would be to allow people to play as african nations like in the warpath campaign.

I would like to see ancient Greece. The Greek cities warring and maybe Persia thrown into the mix would be epic to play.

I can only think of one that was sort of done properly in the sense the tried to make it fairly accurate was fate of the dragon. Problem was it had some of the worst ai and voice acting. I had alot of fun on it as a kid, but playing it today is just torture. Also just to note I enjoyed dynasty warriors 3 like a madman, but just don't wanna touch any of the new ones.

Yeah, that would be a way, as long as they are very careful about balancing the game so that it is an actual, viable option to play as the natives. Since basically it was not a fair fight in actual history, so the question comes down to how much they are willing to muck with accuracy, not to seem racist.

But it would certainly allow for some new and interesting things to be done with the Total War franchise, so I hope that it can be made.

Wouldn't that mean that a well done (depending on how you rate the Total War games) strategy game about that period would be a welcome thing? Since it has been almost 10 years since it was done even close to well? And by something that isn't "Romance of the three kingdoms".

If they could set it so playing as a native faction, you had a certain time before the british and other people invaded, that might make it a bit more fair. They could also make the british units fairly expensive and any native one would be cheap, fast and numerous. Other than that they'll have to start altering history.

Actually... they could add a system where the native could loot guns and things from armies they defeated... that might work too.

A prequel to Rome: Total War then basically? Could be interesting, don't know how much they delved into that in Rome itself though.

On the same note, one that delves into Egyptian/Babylonian history, much like the first Age of Empires.

Yeah that makes sense but personally I don't really want Creative Assembly to do it cause everyone else has. Although I'm sure it would no doubt be good if they did, It's just my personal feelings that's all.

I would have to agree with the three kingdoms/Ancient China version.

Also, one from ancient Egyptand the Fertile Crescent would be cool as well (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Assyria, Mycenae, Babylon, etc)

I actually think it would be quite interesting if they did a late 19th/20th century Total War. I think it would still be original because TW games combine the real-time strategy elements in fighting battles as well as turned based modes typical in civ sims. Plus, they couldn't confine themselves to the WW2 era.

You could start the game off in 1871, when Germany was unified, and have USA, Germany the British Empire and Russia as the first playable factions, and the game lasts until, say, 1991 or 2000. The most interesting thing about it i think would be playing through a familiar time period and having a completely different set of events occur so the game by the finish looks very different to what we are familiar with today. Things like aircraft would add some new and interesting game play features, as well as nuclear weapons and more radical political ideologies.
