Well, this discussion about TB and his attitude towards his viewers turns up again and again. Basically TB has a way to perceive insults where most others see none. Not every non-constructive criticism is meant as an insult. It may not be helpful, but that doesn't make it aggressive or harmful. More often than not people just want to be right about something. That doesn't mean a video sucks and has to be redone or that TB has done poor research. It may just be a remark people want to get out, just for the sake of it.
The problem is that TB's behavior puts a lot of people off. Whenever TB replies to comments, he's basically communicating with his customers. And the way he does it seems to be harmful towards his business. There are a lot of people who complain about TB's behavior, this happens time and time again.
But TB seems to want to "educate" people, because in his mind he is doing nothing wrong. It's a shame, really, because the content he provides is really good, he gives extensive explanations, states his reasons for his statements and offers a lot of insight in general.

oh-well, i saw the video, whats wrong with asking for a feedback on low views? he runs a business, hes a job provider he needs to ensure his income?
i also dont see where all the TB hate comes from? i mean do people actually know him? has he done unscrupulous things with peoples mothers or something? yeah he can come of as a bit of a dick sometime, he aint a saint, who is? i mean its not like he doesn't accept criticism, he has changed his channel several times to match the general consensus, such as dropping shows and changing how he goes about content, he just doesn't cater to every individual whim,
he also appears to just not people who trying to impose there personally fancy or just flat out insult him, and considering that is a daily thing for the guy i wouldn't be surprised if he is high strung.

In regards to that VLOG on criticism, hey guess you really didn't listen to the video at all. I never suggested that you respond to "negative feedback" with reasoning, I suggested you criticise the criticism to see if it holds any water. If your criticism isn't constructive in any respect then it's nothing but a flame. Yeah, blocking is the best way to handle people like that. If I don't want to hear your bullshit, I have an ability to stop you from posting it, which is good for the audience since you don't rile them up either and start unnecessary arguments.
Logical disconnect in your next paragraph where you claim that "he equates all criticism of himself with insults", nope. I equate insults with insults. Unconstructive negative criticism is an insult, that's kinda the point. If it's unconstructive you did not deliver it with good intentions, you delivered it with the sole purpose of insulting the person in question. If you're suggesting you "reason" with people like that then I'd invite you to spend a week in my shoes and see how you feel by the end of it. Being shouted at by thousands of people a day on the internet will burn away your good intentions faster than an acid bath. "Declaring yourself the winner" is irrelevant, there is no contest, the end goal of blocking someone is to stop them from communicating with you, which is about as offensive as not picking up the phone when someone is trying to sell you kitchenware you don't want. Some people are extremely easily offended, I guess they got it into their heads that the internet is a very democratic place and that their voice has the right to be heard. Not on private discussion forums it doesn't.
The rest of it, well that's just a big bunch of insults. Yeah, I'm so narcissistic, the constant criticism I publicly level at myself and repeated self-deprecation of my abilities and appearance obviously indicate that. If you want to psycho-analyze me over the internet at least let me get comfortable on the couch first. As for Northernlion, it's amusing to hear you mention it. We both have extremely similar attitude and have been good friends for a while. We adore to ***** about the same kind of people all the time, he has simply taken a policy of ignoring the comments rather than tackling them. That is it. It's a business not a big happy family, and I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as the man will make interesting enough videos I will watch them if I care about the subject.
Speaking of which, the only interesting things (to me) at Pax were Transistor (because Bastion) and.....nothing else. A bunch of unknown games in mid-development aren't very appealing I guess. And exclusive or not, I don't think many people care about Project Shield.

If I remember correctly that quote was about people who threaten him by saying "I'll unsub if you don't..." or "You can't do this, I'll unsub" and his response is an entirely legitimate one.
