What's REALLY scary is that except for 2 in the Really Old quiz(which I got right the first time anyways), I remembered all of those commercials and knew what they were just based off the name choices.

To hell with toys when I was a little kid! Last X-mas, my friends got me what I'd been wanting for a long time: A Cthulhu Plushie!! It was the best X-mas ever!

And I missed one on the REALLY old quiz. How annoying. My memory must finally be failing me in my old age. But the commercials were awesome! I remembered watching every single one when I was a kid.

as for how I did on the quizzes... I managed to 100% the first one in what I thought was amazing time (1:30ish minutes in 1 attempt), but only got 117th.. oh well, probably because I actually wanted to look at the video to make sure there wasn't a trick question in there

THe other I did a lot worse on, as I was only sapient for the very tail end of the 80s (the only commercial in the list I remember is the 2nd one, the Creepy Crawlers commercial). I got it in 4 attempts.. funny enough, the only one that confused me was the video game one. I didn't think, from looking at the controller in their hand it was either colecovision or intellivision... so I chose the other 2 first, as I didn't know them... then I chose colecovision, then intellivision - I had to go through all 4 to get it right :/

EDIT: Also, I thought the censored Mr Bucket commercial was hilarious "Chase Mr *BLEEP*uck-It around and put the balls in his head!"

Wouldn't it have been simpler to let us watch the videos separate from the quizzes? You have to reload the video every time you finish an answer otherwise.

You might want to be careful, I found two of the answers in the video, not a hint, the direct answers.

Very nice quiz, but I have the same problem every time I try to take a quiz on here - it logs me out halfway through the quiz. I'm using IE8 Vista 32bit, and this has been happening with the last few quizzes, like the LotR quiz and stuff. Just thought I'd pass it along.

I COULD have gotten a faster time on both quizzes, but I was too enraptured with the commercial bites, and subsequently strolling down memory lane. It was awesome to be a kid in the '80s! The only commercials during cartoons were for cereal and toys!!
