Not really, no. Only if I actually moved to another country. Speaking Dutch would be fairly pointless in brazil - I'd trade it for portugese in that instance.

I'll still have English as a internet language and I'll be able to go to more than just English speaking countries on holidays. I'm thinking Spanish or maybe Chinese or Japanese. I can manage well enough in German and French already, so I've got most of Europe covered.

Lol, it's just a random fiction book I read when I was 14 or so. Good book though, I would recommend it.

Nah. Almost any language is easier to learn than English and most are not as useful. Maybe Chinese, but my particular scholarly interests would require a knowledge of english and my failure at languages in general would prevent me from unlearning it because it would be so hard to relearn.

English is actually THE easiest language to learn (There's been research on that)

I highly doubt that butt-fucked lingual combination of Germanic roots, Latin, French and whatever else we could throw together is significantly easier to learn than, say, Spanish that has had relatively little non-Latin originated phrases thrown in over the course of centuries.
