Traffic tickets

The article is talking about New York adding 200 traffic agents to write people tickets to overcome the budget shortfall. According to the article they are trying to raise 66 million dollars
Which begs the question, is this at all a legitimate function of government? To needlessly ticket people just to add to the public coffers, I find it appalling.

What do you think of this? Why do we allow our government to do this?

The only thing I find shocking about this is that you find this shocking. Traffic Wardens are the lowest form of government scum. They've been doing this for years. They get a bonus for how many tickets they give out. Line em up. Shoot em all.

Well I don't quite find it shocking, myself being on the receiving end of revenue generating tickets.
It's amazing that we as citizens are so passive that we do not control our government like it was intended, but rather just go along with whatever they throw at us.....Sheeple
