Wow, among other things it has just dawned on me that I live in an age where we get full on "movie-style" trailers for games. Games!
I'm gonna pull out my best moviebob voice for this one: Guy can we hang back for a second and reflect on how awesome that is.
OT: Yes. Just, just yes. Want so hard.
I don't want to repeat what's been said already too much but yeah, they really do seem to care about the source material, pretty refreshing and I'd love that to become the mainstream industry mentality.
I like that there was an absolute minimum of Robin footage. I shall play through his levels as fast as possible and get back to being Batman, it reminds me of the Raiden issue with MGS2 (nope, you're no longer the ultimate badass, here play as this girly child).
Of course this is not written by Hideo Kojima, I'm not betting away the possibility that the game actually makes me care for the character of Robin. In fact now that I think about it that's blatantly going to be their tactic. Imagine the stakes being raised at the end by having to watch Robin die and you realise with shock, you're mourning him. Or one of those "who do you save?" scenarios and you just can't choose.
Oh and the Catwoman trick was unnecessary, you wanna stamp out pre-owned games? Make games as good as this and I'd buy it original/pre ordered just for some limited edition box art or whatever. The catwoman thing, that's just amazing amazing bonus!
