I know the gameplay with be largely the same. I know the graphics will be EXACTLY the same. I know that probably none of the few changes will actually be fixing any of the problems with the series and that I'm probably a fool who deserves to have his wallet raped by the corporations.

But right now I couldn't give a shit. I want this. I want this bad.

This made me LOL

hahahaha you mean survival right? zombies is treyarch's thing.

OT: this game looks a whole shit load more fun the Battlefield 3's campaign. apparently BF3 (according to previews i have read) is just a conventional modern shooter. well the campaign anyway. But you gotta admit, CoD at least puts the effort into their single player as well as the multiplayer.

I gotta say, I'm pretty damn stoked about this game. Pretty damn stoked. Big set-pieces, linear levels and facial-hair driven bad-assery don't fail me now!

It's not Infinity Ward.
Well, technically it still is, but most of the original staff members of Infinity Ward bit the dust thanks to the man in my avatar.

I've watched this one several times already, and I still think it's badass. Although I suggest watching it somewhere else, I mean what's with the terrible sound quality here?

I like the absolutely pointless monologues in this trailer. Just like the MW2 SP trailer, talking about Cain and Able for some unrelated reason.

Guess that's to be expected from the game that looks the exact same.

That's exactly it. I'm not so jazzed about just shooting other people with guns but shooting zombies I like. Plus I'd rather work with a couple of people against the computer rather then against another group.
That last level; 'Moon' is controller-mangling-ly difficult, but the dialogue has only gotten better. I wish they'd string the maps together with some extra objectives and cut-scenes and make it a stand-alone game with a multi-player aspect. The story is actually pretty good, it's just hard to get at.

As much as I detest (and suck at) CoD's multiplayer, the singleplayer has always been a guilty pleasure for me. When the price drops or I get access to a friend's game, I'll gladly play the singleplayer through a few times.

I've been watching this trailer again and again over the last few days. I'm one of the few who loved the MW2 campaign and this looks even better.

So hyped!
I also loved the MW2 campaign. I think the night before MW3, I will beat it once again. :)

Nope, I thought it was awesome, too. Maybe not quite as good as CoD4, but certainly a worthy successor.

Modern Warfare 1's campaign was great, but imo, 2 was average -> bad. The best bits about MW1 were the small task-force based SAS missions - and with every game they go towards bigger and bigger combats, which is just so generic. Inserting onto the ship in the first mission, or blowing your way through the plane in the epilogue were some of the best bits! More small-scale stuff..

I was starting to think I was the only one who thought MW2's campaign kicked ass. Especially on this site.

Anyway, to add content: I've been rewatching this a lot too, a couple of times on Gametrailers. One time, an ad for BF3 came on directly before it. You know, the one featuring that "99 Problems" song.
Totally agreed! I've rewatched it a lot of times now, and it's always as epic as the last time. And yes, I too thought MW2 had a very adrenaline-pumping campaign filled with epic moments and I loved it.

You're right, that's why I'm buying it for the campaign and Spec Ops, oh... and the new Survival Mode. :) Oh yes, MW does have offline modes, contrary to popular belief. And they're also very underrated.

Hey, this actually looks good!
Nice to see that MW3 isn't being a fucking child and attacking BF3 in their trailers...
Also, this is friggin awesome!
Yep. CoD doesn't got 99 problems and a ***** ain't one, either ;p

In all seriousness though, IW and even Acti have been astonishingly classy in how well they've handled the seemingly endless stream of childish taunts from DICE/EA. Though really maybe they knew they wouldn't have to all along; the "99 Problems" trailer was utter shit compared to this, even the BF stans I know hated it, and the open beta was a mistake on BF3's part in that it revealed that the graphics in those trailers aren't anything even remotely like what the game is going to look like on a console. I dled the BF3 beta for the PS3 on the first day, and aside from a few nice shadow effects it wasn't a noticeable improvement on MW2 in any respect whatsoever. Crysis 2's MP looks considerably better.

It was a lot of fun, to be sure, but after watching all those misleading trailers about the awesomeness of the new Frostbite engine, I feel cheated. I'm not paying $2500 for a PC with top specs just to play Battlefield.

I would seem that the old adages about one's bark versus their bite are true yet again.
