So did they just copypasta from DA2 and add women with Scorpion tails and such? Because the backdrops look suspiciously similar to the demo for DA2.

FYI to you and everybody else, Confrontation is a tabletop miniature wargame made by the French company Rackham.

Cyanide already made a computer game for warhammer bloodbowl, another miniature tabletop game.
And both Cyanide and Rackham are french.

And as far as I know it's older than DA2.

I was commenting on the visuals, which I actually explicitly stated in the comment you quoted. A franchise can be around longer and still have an iteration that cribs things from a successor.

And the backdrops looked just like that.

But thank you for your input. It helped me in no way, but I'm sure someone, somewhere will find it somewhat useful.

You did? If backdrop is the only kind of visual in a game according you, then yes.
Then they also stole their visuals (ie. backdrop) from medal of honour, battlefield 3 and every other game having one or more missions set in a grey and brown desert-like environment.

I really hope it will works, the way it ended for the miniatures company didn't do justice to the quality of their products and at least, maybe the video game will.

NB: ladies with scorpion tails original inspiration is more like to be that one:
