Well I'm sure glad that I preordered this. Hopefully it plays as well as it looks.

saw this a few days ago somewhere else. The game looks good but...
I wonder how the switch between FP and 3rd will work out. what ever happend to letting the player decide how they want to use cover? Looking around corners without actually letting my character peek around corners (3rd person view) feels a bit like cheating to me
ME 2 used a cover system similar to this one and that made the game so easy it was a joke, even on the hardest difficulty. Looking how relaxed the protagonist throws a grenade from cover while a tank is shooting at him without any risk makes it look too easy.
Sneaking around will be much easier this way for sure, but where is the challenge in that?

Damn it, my hopes are going to get up too high if I keep watching these. The third person bits are still really off-putting but other than that... it's looking good.

You die in about 2 shots (if that on the hardest setting), enemies look behind themselves randomly when patrolling, killing enemies with fist-blades makes noise that may attract others whilst knocking them out will allow them to be woken up if found, there's cameras, turrets, etc. etc.

No one whose played it has said its easy.

And people, always be mindful of the fact that trailers are made whilst devs are in god mode. They don't play the game properly when they're trying to edit footage together.

Having played the preview build, I can assure you that the cover system works like a charm. You just hold down the right-mouse button and Adam will stick to the nearest cover, it's really smooth and intuitive but that doesn't mean it makes the game too easy. You die really fast even in the normal difficulty so your best option is to stealth your way through the missions.

Like Deus Ex(which admittedly, I haven't played) you're not given only one way to finish a mission, there are various branching and secret paths you can follow and here is when the game really shines. The A.I is also pretty decent in combat but you can easily out-flank them if they lose sight of you.
