And about LoL, I just don't see how Riot can possibly compete with Valve. Not in terms of popularity, but in terms of competence. I'm assuming that you play LoL, so you should know how slow and shoddy Riot are at everything (except marketing).
For me, I'll be going straight for DotA 2; all heroes unlocked and probably a competent banning system is just too good to pass up.

Even i can see DotA 2 is gonna blow HoN away so ill be right in there on release day. Can't wait!
All those little annoyances like no stats tracking, no ranking system, no match making and having to piggy back the good but outdated WC3 engine all gone!

Well, LoL is definitely more accessable to new players, what with the tutorials and what not. (I didn't grow up with DotA, so getting into the genre was hard, but I found LoL was the easier of HoN and LoL to pick up)Neonshot said:

I will aquire to Dota 2 for sure. If it keeps me from playing HoN is another matter. However the new Free-to-Play model ruined the game for me. People just play free accounts now without fear of consequences for being horrible human beings. If their account gets banned, they make a new one. It's just making the playerbase be even more douchebaggy.
The selection of heroes to pick from with free account is generous so I would be surprised if there wasn't a third of the free heroes you enjoyed.
I enjoy HoN but the people you play with really makes it an unpleasant experience very often. Humans are evil. Perhaps things might be better in Dota2?

I'll keep an eye out for more details, so far, I've seen rip-off champions. And that's not enough to tear me from any other game that I'm playing currently. I sincerely hope they'll play this card right though, I like Valve.

But: I know Blizzard doesn't have any rights to the game, any of the characters, and pretty much everything that is DotA, but that is a Blood Elf Spell Breaker, and that is Sylvanas...
I would have been alright if they just made it so you could recognize the characters they used to be in Warcraft, but these models are basically high quality versions of the sprites from Warcraft.
If I was Blizzard, I'd definitely have a beef with that.
