Looks decent enough, but I don't see anything I can't get in Bad Company 2, which I already own. So why exactly would I want this over Bad Company 2?

Oh and the melee looks as easy as CoD's melee. Which is a bad thing.

It certainly looks quite interesting, I don't have (not interested) Bad Company 2 or the newest COD, but this game looks interesting enough... although, I thought the same thing about Medal of Honor and look how it turned out...

I was going to post saying "Man this looks like Frontline: Fuel of War's multiplayer... but then I looked it up and it's the same studio. Makes sense.

I was on the fence about this game, but I think I'll get it now that I know it will be like Frontline. I always felt that game was pretty fun but the community died pretty quickly.

Also, I heard somewhere theres like 50 maps, is that true?

Well... Homefront is more story centric, if you like a story based singleplayer then Homefront is a good choice compared to BFBC2.

There are only minimal changes to multiplayer though, Homefront plays slightly more like COD... so it's basically what MOHs online was trying to be.

Also there's a bit of Crysis thrown in there with battle points being earned then spent on vehicles than only you can drive.

Wow. Ummmm...

This basically looks like an FPS version of World in Conflict.

Only in the future... slightly.

I seem to be drawing far too many parallels here.

*sigh*

Yea, looks alot like Frontlines did, which i think is good as long as the bugs are kept out.

You're not the only one. I can't read one article about this game without thinking about WiC. That's not really a bad thing though, WiC was awesome. Let's hope for this one.
The tagline is not that different: "Home is where the war is" against "War is coming home". And you fight North Koreans instead of Soviets. The Red dawn connections till exists, though.

Whatever happened to Frontlines anyways? I heard some good things about it before and after its released, but why did it die off that quickly?

I wonder if balloons will play a prominent role in gameplay?
Roflpedestal.

This was all levels of epic, call of duty crossed with battlefield. ish.

Well, I guess it's better to be a ripoff of a slightly more original game than Call of Duty, and one that had a better story, better characters, better gameplay etc...

You see where i'm going with this.

tl;dr At least it isn't a shameless CoD Clone.

it looks like a mix of COD small maps and fast paced game with Bad Company 2 vehicles and destruction.

Whew, good thing they remembered to add that rapid knife attack from Call of Duty. I was almost about to waste money on this.

This looks so generic it hurts.
It is a bit hard to stomach. But hey, maybe it'll flop and then people will take a break from Call of Duty reiterations.

Well they have the COD close range knifing, because who cares about shotguns or smgs y'know.
It seemed to be very visually confusing and cluttered, a lot of smoke and explosions and whattheheckisgoingon!?

I suppose you can't really get a feel of whether this will be a balanced, skillful, teamwork extravaganza or an exploit driven screw-you fest unless you've properly played it, things like map design will be crucial to a good multiplayer, we'll just have to wait until it actually comes out before we can find out if its game changing, or just a copy paste of other games.

I think its a Two-hit melee, which would be a good thing. However, your right, it DOES look like a sequel to Battlefield, and it even looks like a closer match to the orginal game than Bad company does. Even though I'm an SP man, I think I would buy this game on the merits of being a BF1942 type gameplay successor.
