I found playing with the Gamecube controller helped but I know what you mean.

Like I said up there, it's a good looking game! It looks a lot better than Mario Kart Wii but I hate the title. Mario Kart 7...I'm glad they're dropping pretense and going back to a numerical scheme but it doesn't really work unless you go back and re-name every other Mario Kart after the one for the Super Nintendo.

The thing is you can easily call it Mario Kart 3D. D is the 4th letter of the alphabet so it would be the same basic thing they did with Saw 7 (Saw 3D in my mind was Saw 3+4 = Saw 7)

I freaked out when I saw Mario purposefully aim for a pool of water. Every bone in my body has been programmed to avoid water like the plague, and yet, there are underwater segments! Also, I wonder what kind of effect rain will have on the gameplay, if any?

I don't think I've actually been this excited for Mario Kart in a long time. Double Dash was just bleh, I never liked the steering in MKDS, and the Wii was fun but honestly brought almost nothing new to the table.

Hopefully it follows suit from MKDS, the last good MK game >.>

I mostly just hope they don't try using so much as a VARIATION on MKWii's battle mode... that thing was just fucking awful :/
