No, in the "Behind the Scenes" video for Mr. Toots they talk about visiting THQ's headquarters and asking for permission to use the 3D model. They just didn't specify what game it came from.

What, what?! I think someone must have taken one too many blows to the head with this. The sad thing is that people will fall for this because its something so obnoxiously random. Certainly feels like they made the game, stood back and thought "ah crap no-one is going to like it because its so by the book that we need a gimmick to help make it sell"

Certainly a unique way of adding colour to the usual FPS colour wheel of brown,grey or black though.
