It could be April First, but I could also just be Saints Row 3. It could be anything with the madness that is Saints Row.

Oh, what the frell? There was barely any gameplay in that trailer!

Also, am I the only one who thinks THG's new logo looks terrible?
Seeing as it's April Fool's Day, that was kind of the point.

So Saint's Row is SOOO good that a punch to the balls is all it takes to sell it?

People may say it's more fun than GTA and perhaps even far superior, but I think I'll stick with Rockstar's style of humour thank you very much.
Rockstar's satire is hilarious.

Saint's Row's gameplay is hilarious.

WE NEED A GAME TO COMBINE THESE FORCES.

The trailer was over so quick i did not actually see what happened the first time.. Had to watch it over again..

Though a punch in the nuts is always funny, this did not really show much.. And the little glimps that was shown did not seem to have what i would call graphics up to date..

But then again, that might not matter if the game is otherwise awesome.

Isn't that all you really need to know about this game? I mean after the last two games, all you really need to show about this one is that you can punch guys in the balls, and you've pretty much sold it.

Saints Row really, really annoys me as a franchise. In a time where videogames are trying to compete with the artistic merits of other media and also become more mature you get Volition spewing out more garbage like this. The stories in each game are farcically awful; you can't relate to any of the characters unless you're a sociopath; the humour is very low-brow, not clever and immature; and the driving mechanic is unceremoniously bad (seriously - on Xbox 360 you press A to accelerate? That means you're either always going at full throttle or not going at all. To maintain any sort of constant speed you have to tap A, kangarooing the car about).

Video Games; Because they are not meant to be FUN, they must be taken serious!

Seriously, when can we stop with the "Video Games is a art, so everything must be mature!" argument........ if that's the case then Super Mario Bro.s and Pacman are some of the worst games ever created.

[small]also, Saints Row 2 had a cruise control button so you didn't need to keep tapping A, and honestly people that needed to tap A hadn't been playing Consoles very long since almost every controller has pressure sensitive buttons........ since like the Dreamcast...........[/small]
I'm not saying videogames shouldn't be fun. Just that Saints Row tries to be too fun and isn't. Then again - it's just personal opinion. Yeah - using a pressure sensitive button for accelerate would have made sense for accelerate - but Volition obviously decided against it for some reason. Also - the cruise control was badly implemented. It meant you couldn't change your speed quickly enough if needs be.

FUCKING SOLD.
I am so getting this game. It's actually a very good trailer, it pretty much convinced me that the Saint's Row team have still got it. I don't even need to mention how much better this is than any of EA's advertising campaigns.

that was perhaps the most accurate use of minimalism i have ever witnessed. good to see theyre sticking with the 'shits and giggles' style and not following through with their plan to rip off gta4 and try to make it gritty and brown.

April fools.
Yes because GTA IV had so much intentional humor.

Rockstar's humour is subtle, in fact it's more of a satire than any sort of out and out direct humour.

Saint's Row on the other hand is just stupid... ridiculous and unrealistic.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, we've got far too much realism in our games these days, but there is a world of difference between the two types.
