The American cartoons are never going to be part of the Japanese canon, which is what the games are based on. Get. Over. It.

Actually I get that. And I know and see how the back story in Japan differs from the version created in the States. Difference is culture, what they like and get into and think is fun and cool isn't the same as in the western world. Speaking in large generalities of course some people from both sides like the version on the other end of things. What I'm saying is they made a different version for this side of the world in the show and comics, and people liked it, I'd like and think it would go over well if the did the same with one of the games.

...Sega, I don't think Silver really counts under 'legendary', as much as Sonic Team wants to think otherwise. Also, I'm sure the fans will be happier if you don't remind them of Sonic '06.

But then again...I guess the real fans are the ones who buy and enjoy your games, not the ones who whinge about not getting Sonic the Hedgehog 2.5 every time a new Sonic game comes out.

This game looks worse with every passing trailer.

I was excited at first because I really did think it was just running and ring grabbing.

The demo looked quite promising. This trailer has replaced my cautious optimism with Hardened Cynicism tenfold of that prior to playing the demo.
