Every game has its powerful characters, or did you forget Yoshimitsu being able to 100 to 0 a characters health from a single hit confirm in SC3 and SC4?
SSF4: AE had several characters used in the Top 16 at EVO, including Yun, Fei Long, Abel, C. Viper, Makoto, Ryu, Akuma, Zangief, Sagat, and Ken. UMvC3 has seen a large percentage of the roster used at high level play.
