I think this will be like Final Fantasy. The game shares the same name and a lot of similarities, but it's a separate thing. Elder Scrolls will continue as a single RPG.
Think of this MMO as a spin-off.
Does that help ease the pain?

The MMO is starting to look decent.
If it's going to be F2P or P2P (and to what effect) will ultimately decide its fate really.

P2P will kill it. Why would WoW players want to switch? Why would Elder Scroll Players want to subscribe to play an Elder Scrolls game?

I've never played an MMO before, or really been interested in them, so I have no idea how this looks technically, but I REALLY want to at least try this one out. I do like Elder Scrolls, so I'd be willing to try.

And Dumbledore's the one narrating the trailer, so it can't be all bad. ;P
