Ok, so today I was shifting though my 360 hard-drive to see if I had enough space left to download the next Mass Effect 3 DLC. I didn't. I deleted several things and still don't have enough space. So, I'm wondering: is there any way for me to take all my saves and stuff from my current hard drive and transfer them to a new hard drive with more storage space?

EDIT: I mean transferring 360 fat to 360 fat, not fat to skinny.

Which type of 360 do you have? The old model with the de-tachable hard drive I presume?

Well I suppose the ways will be similar either way; this is how I did it. That does not mean there are not other ways of course but this is what I did.

Purchase any cheap USB Flash Drive (PNY's I KNOW work but any of them should). The flash drive will have to be blank. Plug the flash drive into your 360. Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS -> STORAGE and your flash drive should show up. It will have you format it to work with the 360 so go ahead and do that (which is why you want a blank one, formatting will delete everything).

Once it is formatted, go back to the STORAGE menu and select Hard Drive. You will see options in here to Transfer everything at once if you have the space; otherwise you can go in and transfer them piece by piece as I had to. Once you've transferred one batch, repeat until everything you have is moved over.

I'm not sure how much it was, I think it was around 30 bucks but I got it for free with my new xbox but I wanted to transfer my stuff from the family xbox to mine and it made it incredibly easy.

That should help.

The title is weird, you transfer data not memory. Sounds almost as strange as downloading RAM.
