I am reading Mei No Naisho and I absolutely love it. I adore cute, sexy traps and I was curious if there are any other good trap manga in this genre. I have looked by have yet to find anything that measures up to Mei no Naisho. Suggestions?

Before I go digging into what I've read. By trap do you mean "A very girly guy, who still thinks he's a guy." Or an actual transvestite?

I thought "trap" referred to a pre-op trans woman

as the name suggests its not exactly a [I/]nice[/I] descriptor....certainly not something I'd recommend usuing outide of Anime genres (and even then....)

Of all of my time spent watching anime, reading manga, etc., trap has always meant a guy who looks like a girl, may even act as a girl, but still identifies as a guy. I actually didn't know "trap" had another meaning and one so offensive until a few months ago.

Example of an anime trap. Hideoshi from Baka and Test

Looks like a girl, does the "standard" activities of a girl, yet still identifies himself as a male.

and I guess anatomically speaking "funtari" is the uh...manga descriptor

the implications of "trap" on both uses are...pretty bad

I've watched that series the stuff he wears and the way he's drawn doesn't help any

There's Minamoto-kun no Monogatari. He actually has a complex about girls bullying him about his looks in high school. Still, you've gotta admit, he looks adorable when he dresses as a girl.

Alright. I have a few... by a few I mean one.

Hourou Musoko- A story of two childhood friends, one a boy and one a girl. Who realize they want to be the oppostite sex. They cross dress and drama unfolds as they found out who they are. Yadda yadda ya, It's good, but quite heavy at times. The only crossdressing manga I've read.

I'm trying to find some more light-hearted ones, but's quite the challenge. I'd refer to his list [https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120131223853AAV21Kj] for some variety. A quick look up of all the manga listed show some good ratings.

sure but...I'm not sure theres really much contention here, I mean the only thing would be "is it ok to causually use as a genre descriptor" to which I'd say "eehhhh no but you can't really stop people from doing that" kind of like calling "grass trees" "black boys" and "Ularu" "Ayers rock"

Well, there's Tripeace, about a guy that want's to stop all war and tries to join an organization with that goal, but is looked down on by his female superior, until he crossdresses and becomes her idol.

And, while it's not specifically crossdressing, there's Id. Though the main character is a male, he's very androgynous and is aware of that. So, he won't hesitate to use his "feminine wiles" to confound his male opponents.

Also, while I haven't read it, there's Family Compo. An orphan moves in with aunt and uncle (both crossdressers), and he can't figure out whether their child, his cousin, is male or female.

*facedesk* Your example of a crossdressing manga is a slice of life meant to educate people how it is to grow up as a young transsexual in a country were no one understands it and there does not seem to exist any medical help. It is not exactly a light hearted gender bender comedy.

For a cross-dressing trap I suppose I can recommend "No Bra," which although I never finished I found to be a fairly enjoyable read.

For a post-op "trap" (I'm not entirely sure the label applies for transvestites, post or pre, to be honest, but whatever) I guess I could recommend "The Day of Revolution," which is another manga I never got around to finishing in spite of finding it to be a rather enjoyable read.

Now that I think about it, I have a rather ridiculously-sized back-log of anime/manga I have yet to finish... I really ought to get around to finishing one or two of them now that I have time to kill.

Can't speak for the anime, it has a neat 80s vibe, but the manga seemed compelling enough.

For pure comedy, there is only one manga I suggest and it is also very easy to read [only few chapters long]

Aoi Destruction!

The little "girl" is the father of the other guy.

Trap? Seriously?

Yeah, I can see this thread ending well.
...it's a genre of manga 'trap genre', I'm also transgendered myself and don't see a problem with the genre. I rather like it. Anyways, thanks for adding to the discussion.
