Hey everybody, after witnessing somebody try to kill themselves tonight, and helping to wrestle them into submission, then seeing them have an epileptic fit I feel pretty fucking shaken up.

It's literally the first time in my life I have cried about anything, other than at a funeral. So I thought it would be interesting to hear about your traumatic experiences (if you are willing to share them) if only to sooth my own tender nerves.

Fire away peoples!

[s/]when I lost my virginity[/s]

I don't know if I've really had one. Maybe the time I saw a dog get run over and that was pretty bad since I tend to love animals more than my fellow humans.

Ive seen some stuff but what shook me up the most waz being carjacked at gunpoint on the wayback from my homecoming senior year in high school. It was my dudes car and they reamed our pockets and left us out in the icy rain to walk for half an hour. never cried, just clenched...

Dear god, What happened?

If you need any help, you can laugh at my pathetiness. Laughter is the best medicine.

That's traumatic.

I died a little inside 3 years ago... :<

*edit*

Just thought I'd put this up as a general decency warning, @ 2:39 for 4 miliseconds, a fox is fapping.

I appreciate your concern, but I doubt you can feel more useless and pathetic than I do now, so laughing at you would seem kinda wrong. But yes, laughter is the best medicine :) Weed helps too :)

Just last week I was down at the local range unloading a weeks worth of pay, and some kid was down there shooting as well. I get done putting steel down range and I unload and move away from the line. I look to my left and see the kid holding his rifle and talking with another. Well, the rifle is pointed square into my torso, so I tell the kid to "Quit pointing your got-damn rifle at me." He goes red then puts it down on the table. It's not the first time I have had a weapon accidentally aimed at me,the killer was when he decided to pull back his bolt, and a live round ejected out. I got that cold feeling down my spine and instead of just beating the shit out of him then and there, I just went home.

Then smoke man, smoke! Unfortunately I haven't had any traumatic experiences, but I can empathize with you.

Ahhh, I just love people with no sense of firearms safety; they're so much fun to be around. When I go clay shooting, there is usually some doofus waving a loaded 12 bore (gauge for those in the USA) around like its a fucking pea shooter.

Well, I have quite a few so I will just tell the funniest one. I was babysitting my cousins and I left them or a minute, so I pulled up Disney.com. I left for ten minutes, came back and looked at the screen: my eight-year-old cousin had went back twelve pages and completely skipped EVERYTHING innocent and clicked on the, you guessed it, LION KING PORN! Do you know how hard it is to explain the facts of life from a furry's standpoint to a bunch of little kids? "Well, you see, when a daddy lion likes a baby lion mommy lion, then they shove sticks up each others asses." That was traumatic (for all of us).

Well there was this one time (I was like 12) When my mom tried to kill herself... again and again (I happened to be around when this went on). This went on for a few years when the dumb-ass doctors decided it was safest for her to live in a mental institution while they fucked with her meds. Now (I'm 18) she's much better and living in Florida with her family and we talk all the time, I still love her very much and know that she's not at fault for what happened (She was diagnosed as bi-polar) and me and my sister visit her on occasion. This event has left me quite mentally scared...

Shit, sounds like you've had some bad times :(
Glad things seem to be better now. It's not nice trying to convince someone that they don't wanna kill themselves...

Epically when one is not old enough to understand what the hell is going on. But this experience has helped me grow into a tolerant and understanding individual...

I'm glad to hear that. What don't kill you only makes you stronger, right?

when I took my dog to the vet after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor... and I knew that he wasnt going to come back...
ugh. Up until that point- that dog has always been around and it was just unthinkable to not have him there. But he lived to be 16, and was few months younger than me... it was hard.

I remember I went to school and I just didnt talk to ANYONE all day, because all I could think about was that dog. And the stupid things especially.

Did make me realize that I want my funeral to have more focus on stupid/funny stuff I did in my life. I want people to laugh at my funeral...
