We all may or may not know about the tragic accident that happened to the Travolta family. John Travolta's son, Jet Travolta, died in a tragic accident. But now Travolta is back in the acting business not too long after this happened. He has "The Taking of Pelham 123" coming out soon, and he is scheduled for 2 more movies in 09-2010, titled "Old Dogs" with Robin Williams and "From Paris With Love", written by the same writer for "Taken" and the Transporter series. Travolta has given strong preformances throughout his entire career (besides Battlefield: Earth... *shudder*), but now he's back in the business after his families tragic accident. Do you think it seems too soon to start coming out with movies again, or is it just his way of coping with his loss? I know when im going through hardships, I like to work at my job to keep my mind off of it. As a huge Travolta fan, Im glad to see hes still making movies. I just hope he can evoke just as much emotion into his roles in the future.

I think he's a murderer. He could have easily provided therapeutic care or anti-depressants to his son but because of his cult he openly refused to. I feel no sympathy for this man's "tragic" loss and hope this can help realize the dangers of Scientology as a belief structure. It's just another shining example of both how stupid and gullible people are and the danger of religion outlawing things that can only help. Being someone who has had both therapy and anti-depressants, I know they work wonders for the human psyche and without them I may have shared the same fate as this kid. So rot in a hole John Travolta, you murdering piece of shit.

Also, this is not news.

I think I don't care, but you know maybe he just wants to take his mind of things. Or Scientology has ordered him back to work and he must obey because he's been brainwashed in to doing what ever they tell him?

I agree but without all the strong words. But the same basic idea, just a lot less anger. I have also been to therapy, currently going now, and been on anti-depressants.

He could be doing things to deal with his grief that just aren't made public. Who knows? I do agree with everyone else, that working and keeping your mind off of it may just be the best way to deal with it. I don't think it's in any way disrespectful to the memory of his son that he continues to work.

He named his child Jet. wtf, seriously. Just because you own a few wide-bodies do you need to go around the world proclaiming your wealth?

You can't expect a man to stop working because of grief, that's ridiculous.
Still I think he's a fucking nutjob like all Scientologists.
Don't get me started on Scientologists. (Chef, why?)

why should he take years off cause his son died? sorry to say but most people get a week or two at the very most when a parent or child dies and then they have to go back to work.

so no i don't think it's that bad he's got more movies coming out, yes his son died but frankly life goes on and so must he

Damn. Clicked on this thread thinking it would be about Mr. Bungle.

Guess I'll go watch Grease now. Still find it confusing how he went from that masterpiece to Hairspray.

He is an actor, he doesn't have to go back to work unlike us common folk, unfortunately.

He could have canceled his future plans and let his career rot if he was so inclined.
