Noun
Betrayal of trust; deceptive action or nature.
Synonyms
betrayal - treason - perfidy - disloyalty

Question:
1-Whats the greatest act of treachery you have experienced
2-what the biggest act of treachery you have committed
3-In general whats the worst treachery a person can commit.

My Answer:
1-Girl pretended to be interested in me-due to having no experience I believed her, turned out to be a trick so she could public humiliate me.
2-I lied about an event in order to trick someone into doing a favor for me.
3- A family member abandoning/seriously hurting a member of their family.

I can tell that you've never been true to me
I can smell that you're acting so fearfully
I can hear what you're hoping I want to hear
I can feel the alarm bells are ringing in me
I can touch but I know you don't feel a thing
I can pray but I know you commit a sin
I can sense now it's all become clear to see
You're no good and you mean no good
Treacherously!

Greatest act of treachery ever experienced:

My brain assured me that I just needed to fart. However, it lied.

Greatest act of treachery I did:

Betrayed a recipe calling for chicken breast by using chicken thighs.

Worst, in my opinion:

Faking the orgasm. I would rather be ineffective than deceived.

1. When I was 10 my mother found herself a boyfriend who was verbally abusive towards me, and would often throw tantrums where he would swear at me, tell me to kill myself and break things/ throw things at me, often in my mother's presence. When I cried and begged her to make him go away because I was scared of him, she said I was being selfish and that if she got rid of him, she would get a new boyfriend who was physically abusive towards me. How's that for a big "fuck you" from your own mother.

2. I once (probably 6 years ago, when we were 13) left my best friend alone at a theme park, because she wanted to go home but me and some other friends wanted to go on more rides. I basically just abandoned her there. Still feel awful about it. She doesn't bother to talk to me anymore but I guess I deserve it since I'm a piece of shit.

3. The worst betrayal is when you betray someone who is dependent on you.

Thanks for reminding me that no one loves me.

I'm so sorry to hear that :(
I can't relate to your personal experience but I suffer from panic attacks and depression which requires medicine to combat, so I have some idea about how stuff like that can fuck you up.
But even if it only means a little bit to you I want you to know that the member of the escapist are here for you and we care about you so your not alone!

I've non several horrible, sometimes truly evil and disturbed, people. My mum is clinically insane and used to be on hard drugs and all sorts. So I've been betrayed big time.

! - 1) My mum once stole £100 pounds of me, blamed on my brother's dad and I fell out with him. When I eventually told him why I'd fallen out with him he told me he didn't steal the money. It later transpired my mum had stolen the money for drugs...

1 - 2) One day my mum's stripper friend (lovely woman, you shouldn't judge people just cause they get naked for money) was worried about me and my brother so she gave us her number and instructed us to call her if my mum passed out or had unsavoury characters in the house. My mum got wasted and I went to call the stripper lady but that pissed my mum off and she started shouting. She relegated me to my room and took away my games, just because I tried to help her. She collapsed and went to a mental hospital 2 days later after the police got involved a couple times.

2) An attempted-murderer who was hiding out at my mum's thought I'd do what he said... But I opened the door to the police and he got the shit arrested out of him. Really, I chalk that up as a betrayal for the greater good.

3) Cheating. Don't ask me why, cuz I don't really know.

Captcha: "More Better". Hey! Fuck you buddy!

Generally you've gotta give a thread more than forty minutes. Especially early mornings on the weekends.

OT: Well, I "loaned" $450 to my mother something like eight months ago or so and I doubt I'll ever get it back. But then, I expected I wouldn't be getting it back in the first place, so...

I've been cheated on in relationships. A lot. Not that I'm any more innocent, as I did revenge-cheating on a few occasions.

You know, I kinda have to give the "worst betrayal" to kannibus up there. It's no boost to my ego for a girl to fake it, and I already know I'm inadequate so I don't need to feel patronized too.

HA! That's a nice sentiment though. There's probably going to be a whole bunch of depressing shit in this thread so remember, you asked for it.

Yeah, I complain a lot, but I've got a pretty cushy experience with life so far. Also, keeping your social circle at about one person generally tends to limit how much you get screwed over by people you trusted.

Also love your avatar :p
And thank you! I have a varied assortment of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu gifs, I'm just trying to determine what interval I should switch them on.

Hooray to tiny social circle, quality over quantity I always say!
How about changing them once every month?

Unlikely. Empty sentiments are nice to have but at the end of the day they're just that.

Hmmm...just deleted a very garbled account of a sorta kinda relationship ending because they'd decided they were going monogamous with someone who thought blaming a rape victim for being raped was hilarious, but was a great person, really. The two of them also decided that posts consisting solely of the word "niggers" was also hilarious. Got a fair few "hey, you've not messaged me in a awhile" "hey, you've deleted me from facebook, are we still cool?" messages I ignored.

Yeah...feel really stupid after that.

I've never really betrayed anyone. I sometimes feel like my parents should be disappointed in me, though, but I don't think they are so I guess that doesn't count.

Worst treachery? Abuse of someone dependant on you, I guess.

Hey they aren't empty I put alot of feeling into them >_<
But in all seriousness people who gave me sentiments over the internet helped me alot so I'm just try to contribute back!
Even if I make just one person feel just a little bit better for just one second it would have been worth making this thread.

1) I guess there's been some stuff with my family that I don't want to get into, but aside from that, I guess the only thing I can remember is that on 3 separate occasions I've had people who I believed to be friends actually disliked me and talked shit about me behind my back.

2) Come to think of it I can't really think of anything. I'm a bit socially incompetent so I'm sure I've hurt people and I am clueless to it but I dunno I guess... I'll have to think about it and maybe post later.

3) I have to agree with the OP, you should never harm your family purposefully or otherwise. Also, when your bladder lies to you and says you have to pee but when you get to the bathroom you can't pee anymore.

1) That depends on whether you mean personally, or treachery that has affected me. I guess the fact that my father walked out on the family twice (my parents re-married after the first time) would be mine. The first time was when I was 11, the second when I was 22. The first time I was too young to really "get" it all. I felt angry, but not in the same sense as I did the second time. That's not to say that I cared about him leaving my life, but despite all her faults, my mother didn't deserve it him to cheat on her. The parts in between weren't exactly a joy either.

2) Hmmm. I am not sure. I was fairly verbally nasty and manipulative when I was in my childhood, although the above answer probably had something to do with it. While I never did anything I'd say was unforgivable, I did treat some friends a lot worse than they deserved.

3) Going by day to day things that most people may have to deal with. I'd say stealing from a family member, friend or partner or cheating on your partner (assuming you are in a relationship agreed to be monogamous for the pedantic.)

Cheating is horrible, if your in a difficult companionship the partners should talk it over not cheat, I hope your mom's OK now, she's better of without him after pulling a stunt like that!
