After just watching that Street Fighter 4 trailer over in the news section...a thought occurred. Why the heck are many of the recent fighters so...similar to each other? I mean...overall, each is distinct with regards to gameplay, Virtua Fighter 5, Dead or Alive 4 being more standard fighters, with Street Fighter 4 coming in mostly the same, but with a little nice wacky cartoonishness. And then Soul Calibur 4 with it's weapons.

However...each has:

A Mexican.

Dead or Alive 4 had: La Mariposa

Virtua Fighter 5 had: El Blaze

Street Fighter 4 is going to have: El Fuerte

Soul Calibur 4 however did not have a Mexican masked wrestler. (Although not like you couldn't make one)

However...a more irritating thing they -all- share, is an end level boss character, that if the character is lucky will have at least some of it's own moves, but more often than not seems to be little more than an uber difficult AI that clones many of the other character's movesets. Bonus points if said boss has some sort of weird 'hole' or effect where their stomach should be. (Say hello Seth, Algol & Jinpachi Mishima -_-)

I don't know...maybe Street Fight 4 will do it for me. Haven't found a lasting fighter on the 360 yet hehe.
