Here's how I always heard it. With adorable childish Ebonics.
"Trick 'r treat,
Smell my feet
Gimme' somethin' good to eat,
Not too bi~g,
Not too sma~ll,
Jus' the size o' Montreal"
I always wondered if this was said anywhere in the states, I never heard it any other way. But this was when I was five (I still trick or treat, though, dammit!), and didn't even know Montreal was a Canadian city.
Also, I know it's not really worldwide, but the phrase is catching on a bit in the UK if I'm correct. What did all of you grow up with? Halloween in just 16 days, can't wait, personally.
