FALLOUT NEW VEGAS
Most glitchy game i've played in my entire life.
Quoted for truth.
Fallout NV has got to be up there with the worst of them. It has come to a point where I will never buy anything from that company again.
Your loss man, but their's a new patch coming out this week.
It's going to be Fixing stability issues, something everyone has been hoping for since the game was released.
My loss? I don't think so brother. The only thing I 'lost' was time and money, which I luckily reclaimed by returning the game within a week and having it replaced by far superior products. It's been what? 6 months or so and Fallout NV is still a buggy P.O.S. I refuse to sit around like some dependent crack addict waiting for Bethesda and the rest of the game 'pushers' to get the forumla within their products right with post-release patching. It's an inconvenience that shouldn't be supported by gamers in the way it is. Everytime a game needs to be patched post-release, the company that is doing it should be held up to scrutiny for having to resort to doing so.
If you are forced to sit around waiting for patches to fix endemic glitches with post-release patches then you're a sucker.
Then make your own open world game, and see if you don't come across any bugs.
Obsidian made the game with the tools given by bethesda. One of which was gamebyro, which is one of the most the buggiest engines still being used today. So really, it's like being given a bucket and spade, rather than a shovel to dig with. So coupled with bethesda buggy engine, and obsidians bad testing department, it was sure to have it's fair share of bugs.
Remember, this gen is the first generation of consoles to be given patches, so we can be grateful that if the game is buggy due to something's that are out of the developers control it can be patched at a later date. Their were games in the past that have been buggy forever, and their's even some commodore 64 games that are unbeatable because of bugs. At least in fallout new vegas you can actually beat the game with not too many problems.
All it comes down to is your tolerance for such things. I am personally more tolerable to most problems about the game (Except for the lock downs, but that only happens once every so often). You couldn't handle the bugs so you sold it rather than bit the bullet, and go on regardless, which is completely understandable, but it didn't phase me, because i know that more patches will be coming soon to address those issues. That doesn't make me a chump, or a biased fanboy, but someone who can take the rough with the smooth, and just enjoy the game as it is.
Also, Guest what! i did nearly every single quest in the game in it's unpatched state, isn't that funny. Also, even more funnier is that i enjoyed every single second of it.
