Trips, Highs and Games

So, considering I'm both a nerd and a sort of 'psychedelic explorer' (the type of person people would call 'junkie', but I hate this term, since I try these things, like, twice a year), it was just a matter of time until I finally decided to put those two things together.

So, some months ago, I got my hands on a bit of acid and thought "Hell, I think I'm gonna play Mario while on this thing."

So, I turned on my Wii and started playing the good old classic Nes Mario. And I found the whole experience to be quite rewarding. Sure, I didn't get very far, but damn, did I have some fun! All the colors were kinds blurring together in the most awesome psychedelic pattern I ever saw.

And, a couple of days ago, I was tlaking to this friend of mine and she said that, the main activity for her and her friends, while high on weed was to play Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Now I ask you, fellow friends of this forum, did any of you already got high/really drunk/tripped and then went to play a game? I dunno. I just get all curious about this subject, because Iv'e been researching this thing for, like, three years, but never really heard much about this, related to gaming.

So, share your experiences!

I've done this, and it freaked me out! Just thinking about it on acid makes me queasy!

Plus Gears of War while stoned is pretty good, cos you are shit when your high, and everyone gets pissed at you. But you just laugh!

OT: idk, i've never taken drugs, but because weed isn't really dangerous at all i think i might try it while i played some nintendo game. I'm curious but not nearly enough so that i would go out and try to find some.

My friends and I decided we wanted to freak outselves out and decided to play Condemned while high, the level in the shopping mall with the broken Christmas Music in the background. I think we all knew it should have been scaring us, but I at least was too busy laughing about it to be scared.

Normally i would agree with you, anyone who can't be happy without an artificial high is a loser.

I didn't say i want to be a pot head. I just have no idea how it feels and am curious. And weed is the only thing i would ever consider, based on the fact that its harmless and non-addictive. But i would never use it more than once. And just remember Ninja X, this is the internet chill site... not...

Yeah, calling you Scruff McGruff isn't really serious. Though i do see what you mean. As hitch put it, 90% of what you say isn't comin out of your mouth. It is hard to tell.

And you are right about the side effects, though i doubt its any worse than being a fire fighter, inhaling all that burning wood would do the same damage to your lungs.

"Piss off" is what I took offense to actually. But thanks for seeing it from my point of view.

As for weed and firefighters, the burning wood and smoke is why the use masks and oxygen tanks.

OP: Every now and then my best mate and i get really baked and try and play COD4. It usually ends with use running around with Dead Silence on, suicide bombing with grenades.

Weed is natural. Its just leaves. You get carcinogens when you apply dangerous chemicals like what you find in meth or LSD. Tobacco is only harmful when you add those fancy chemicals that get you addicted like nicotine, and i can't remember the names of other chemicals in tobacco that make it harmful. My point wasn't that burning wood is harmful, it was the weed is not, I.E. wood and weed are both not harmful.

And by the way... burning wood is harmful to your lungs... thats why fire fighters use masks and oxygen. Thats why you see people breathing out of oxygen tanks after they are pulled from fires. The soot reduces the bodies ability to take in oxygen. And can cause long term damage to sensitive tissue in the lungs.

Playing Left 4 Dead whilst drunk is an immensely enjoyable experience. It's one of the few games so simple, you don't even need to be sober to play decently.
