For everybody wondering her gimmick is she does youtube videos fresh from the shower without doing anything to herself. I theorize that once a month she does a video in which she is just menstruating onto her chair.
Well, a gimmick gets you a first look, but hardly a following. So benefit of doubt, I guess.
I found her very cute and likable, but I haven't seen any insightful analysis of anything and not one interesting opinion, bold approach or clever insight. It is a (probably) naked girl talking lightly, and somewhat incoherently, about some pop or nerdy things. I can see the appeal, but there is nothing there for me.

But she was smart enough to create the gimmick and to transform her cuteness and down to earth style into views, so maybe she will come up with something super interesting for the Escapist. As you said, benefit of the doubt. But it is a huge doubt.

Oh cool, Trish was one of the most likable of the (mostly) highly likable Sourcefed crew. I've never seen her personal videos but she just seems like a tech knowledgable and very sweet person.

Also, because I have an intense, visceral dislike for her co-host Steve I've not been able to watch any of her recent Sourcefed vids so it'll be nice to see her work again.

Hey, it's the girl from that one episode of [a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68BILWRS8ac&list=PLFWHlH4koGZDABLg4i81lswPJPHqLdKj7&index=9"]Moviefights[/a] like 2 months ago. Sure, why not?

Eh. EHHHHH. MEHHHHH.

I don't know you. You get one shot at a good impression. And being naked isn't one of them.

I have a problem with her already. The Naked but showing nothing' vlog idea says to me 'Attract horny teenagers and curious people with my shtick because i don't have anything else to offer' I'd almost respect her more if she had been showing T+A because at least it would be an admission that she has no content of interest and is merely using her sexuality to draw people in.

I'll give her a chance but i'm not optimistic

That video doesn't fill me with much confidence. 6+ minutes and she didn't actually say much of anything. I feel she could benefit from using a script or at least a hard outline on what she wants to talk about. Seems like she went in knowing only that the topic was 'fantasy'.
She does seems quite genuine though. I'll give Trisha a shot, maybe she'll surprise me.

Set "Uniques (Global)" to "Month" and "Date Range" to either "1y" or "All" to see what I'm talking about. I wouldn't mind the March stats too much yet, though. For the record, the slump coincides almost directly with Jim Sterling leaving the site.
Wow. That's ugly. Looks like it was around 3.5 million unique viewers per month (with 1/5 to 1/3 mobile) pretty consistently back to May 2013. Then October to November of 2014 saw a drop of about a million. That 2.5 held steady until February, then in March it's dropped another million to about 1.3 million in March. 3.3 million a month in October to 1.2 million now.

I've never heard of this person. Is her blog super popular? And what is it about? (I'm afraid to click the link because I'm at work and it has a NFSW-associated word in the title)
"The Naked Truth is a vlog series where Trisha vlogs naked (true story) to be as vulnerable and open as possible."
Right - increasing views by bringing in the pervert audience has nothing to do with it.

In other news - women in media are not selected primarily for their physical attractiveness.

Every statement seems to have a bunch of qualifiers at the beginning and end. Doesn't seem to want to make any sort of firm statement or want to say anything controversial.
Hardly surprising. This is meant to be the new direction this site is heading in, after all. A direction where everything is apolitical and as inoffensive as possible.
haaah, implying socjus weenies aren't also about sanitising everything for 'the public's safe consumption.'

I don't know, hopefully she writes some articles too, and it turns out she writes better than she talks. I really disliked Liana K for similar reasons when I first heard about her, but her writing is really good. Some people just aren't good at getting words from brain to mouth without a jumble of other junk.
There's even a psych term for this style of vlog: https://encyclopediadramatica.se/Stream_of_consciousness
Now if you want fanservice and BRAINservice at the same time...can't go wrong with Mercedes Carrera! http://honeybadgerbrigade.com/radio/honey-badger-radio-the-beauty-of-male-sexuality-with-guest-mercedes-carrera/
