Trolls are people (Generally boys around the age of 16) who happen to rejoice in making people angry.
I disagree, I say mostly they're around twelve years old. Most people I know that are sixteen never act like trolls.
'tis odd. Most trolls I know are 20somethings. Some are even as old as in their fifties.

A troll is a person who makes posts or threads to piss off the rest of the community. They are called trolls because they hang around to harrass people much like a troll under a bridge. they always reminded me of the picture of a "professional troll" during a ZP episode(I can't remember which one).

I'll just skip down to the bottom here...

A troll is like many people have said, people who purposely try to annoy you and start pointless arguments over the internet but a lot of people use the term troll... incorrectly

Some people seem to think that anyone who disagrees with them and doesn't like what they like are trolls. Then of course there are the people who see someone trolling and they feel the need to point it out in 5 different post which in a way they are attempting to troll the troll by pointing out that he is trolling...

I hate the term troll.. i wish people would just to the intelligent thing and ignore people when they start acting stupid

Bah! I hate Trolls [http://www.funenparty.nl/pictures/trollzgroep.jpg]! They are the bottom of the filthy scum that teach our daughters to act like sluts!

Wait....oh sorry, wrong troll.

To me, I think a Troll is someone who just posts a comment with no help to anyone that seems like flaming or just nucansing(?). Or maybe they're putting in their opinion without validating why they think that.

An example would be:

Person: I like dolphins!
Person 2: Me to! They are such intruiging mamals!
Troll: Dolphins suck!

Instead of maybe;

Person: I like dolphins!
Person 2: Me to! They are such intruiging mamals!
Not Troll: Ehh, I'm not to fond of dolphins. I much prefer sharks.

Someone could be a troll without knowing it, or more specifically someone could post a trollish comment without meaning to.

But it depends I guess.
