I get annoyed with 'Warboys' of any nationality, who harp on about great battles and victories that were won in the (sometimes ancient) past by their native country.
The fact that they had no input in these past events or indeed any achievement of their country is a moot point, it's still used for kind of an pointless international 'dick-measuring contest' while at the same time trivialising events that killed people, reinforcing national stereotypes and (most unforgivable of all) pissing me off.

"I hate/love Marmite."

Although it's not such a big deal these days. Damn tolerance for the Marmite haters...

The console war and the browser war are starting to get at me. I like the threads that talk about consoles, what your preference is and why it's your console of choice. But I hate seeing threads that just ask which is the best and '[Console/browser] sucks because...'

I also despise generic threads with no thought in them whatsoever, usually just made to increase a post count.

maybe thats cause eurpeans are slow in the head and cant come up with insults fast enough to use them in a chatroom but a forum is slow enough for them :)
I hope to God that was a joke.

I hate, HATE coming on here, going to the Religion & Politics section and constantly seeing "Lol Glen Beck is teh shitz!"

I realize everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I see it so often and am (for some reason) really angered by it.

Oh, I hate the JRPG vs WRPG troll topic the most.

It never leads to anything but tons of JRPG bashing on this site, because this site is primarily PC gamers, and the JRPG PC selection is shit-in-a-can.

Or it ends up being Final Fantasy vs WRPG.

So, it's always arguing shit-in-a-can or Final Fantasy vs WRPGs, basically.
This. So very much. The whole 'Final Fantasy XIII isn't an RPG!' thing really annoyed me.
I'd actually take that a step further and say any argument that can be summed simply as: X isn't Y because Z, where Z is apparently the one and only thing ever that judges what fits into each category

Rap isn't Music because it's just talking
Finaly Fantasy isn't an RPG because you don't play a role
Halo isn't good because wah wah wah I don't like it

Opinions, people. Opinions.

Which argument exactly? That's exactly what SirBryghtside said...

No, but I have them all backed up - I just felt that I wanted something that portrayed my favourite game (Morrowind) rather than my favourite album/film - my current project is to combine the three :D
Ah I see... I wish you luck with that. :p

just better to be sure you know what you're talking about before you hate on the numerical bulk of the developed world...
how do you define numerical bulk? just with my basic understanding i would say GDP is a good measure and accoding the International Monetary Fund the EU beat the US in 2009
Ok, yeah GDP maybe works, but I was thinking number of countries. As in, the 30 or so in Western Europe vs the single country that is the US.

I take offence to the OP saying all Europeans are "slow in the head" considering he made such a big fuss over Europeans dissing America. Either he's trolling his little heart out (bless him) or he's a hypocrite

Well werent you comparing the EU to the US and saying that the US is the numerical bulk of the free world. my point was the EU had a higher GDP. then you were comparing the US to individual european countries. i was saying that would be why the european countires joined up to form the EU and are now the numerical bulk of the free world.
