I do not like any multiplayer trophies beyond, "Play X mode once." Those ones that require you to level all the way to max level are stupid. However, I remember one from Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. You had to kill all four enemy heroes BY YOURSELF. If you are playing a real game (not boosting) that is impossible. There is no way you can kill four other human players before your three human teammates manage to take down at least one of them.

Another one I recall was from Call of Duty: World at War. You needed to acquire all three Wunder Weapons. The only way to do this is the gamble on the mystery box. So you literally have to wait until the game decides that you can have the trophy. Some people it only takes a few minutes. Myself, it took me days.

Silly? There's one in FEAR 3 where you get a trophy for punching a slab of meat called "Yo Adrian!" In Kingdoms of Alamur, you get one called "Streaking" if you talk to anyone without anything on.

Instead of trying to recall all the games here are some of the more stupid achievements (aka gold stars) I've come across: Walk X - amount of miles, complete level X, hit character with X, knife X amount of npcs, assassin blade 2 npcs (when using said blade is part of your job), swim x-amount of miles, change your outfit colors, watch ingame movie (not cut scene actual movie placed into the game for realism), modify your gun, drive x-amount of miles. Sorry but silly things like these shouldn't even get you gold stars you should only get stars when you do very difficult things like beat your level 1,000 boss when the players character level cap can only ever be level 100.

One from future solider, the multiplayer had challenges like how many headshots can you get in match, how many assault rifle kills could you get in one match etc, and after you beat your record it could be sent to your friend for them to try and beat. One of the trophies was for you and a friend to send one challenge back and forth five times, only problem was you couldn't choose who to send the challenge to, it was just sent randomly to anyone on your friends list with the game and after they beat the challenge it would be sent randomly again. The only way to get it would be for both people trying to get it to delete everyone else on their friends list except each other, and even then the only person who gets the trophy is the person who sent the first challenge, so you have to do it twice. That trophy is what made me give up on getting the platinum.

Stuff that has no actual challenge but just requires you to do something boring for a long time. There is one from Darksiders that is for riding your horse a ridicules distance. I'm not going to spend hours just riding around for this thing. There is also one from Trine for summoning 200 objects in single level.

There is one from Batman: AC for talking to Calender Man on each of the holidays but I think that ones kind of cool. I just could never be bothered to do it without cheating.

As for just plain difficult I have every achievement in the witcher 2 except Madman. I'm not even going to try for that one. You have to beat the whole game on insane which makes death permanent.

That one in CoD:WaW where you had to shoot down 50 planes.
I got every trophy but that one because it is impossible.

'Little Rocket Man' from half-Life 2: Episode 2. You had to get the garden gnome from near the beginning of the game all the way to the rocket near the end. To do this, you had to use a trick in at least one part of the game to squeeze him under a quickly-closing door. I've heard it was extremely annoying. I didn't try it, life's too short.

Silliest to me was in Revenge of Shinobi on PS3: Appreciate the blue logo. Yes, I've been put off by games giving me a trophy for starting the thing (I've seen at least 6 of those), but this was given before you press start.

That one from Ghost Recon that requires you to get to the top of the multiplayer leaderboard, because that's really fucking possible.

And the Seriously achievements in Gears of War series. Get 10,000 kills in a game where you usually get 5 kills per match at most, yes please. Or even better in Gears of War 2, Get 100,000 kills..... The only reasonable way to do it is to grind the last level on the brumak over and over.

Ah yes. The Sum of All Zeroes. Shoot down 45 enemy planes. Needless to say, by the time I got that trophy, I had that level memorized. And a few sailors drowned.

I'm just glad you could cheat. Taking a year to get a platinum trophy because the game makes you is insane. And if you missed one of those days, too bad. Have to wait another whole year. Yeah...no.

Since I don't (and in most cases, can't) play games online you can list ANY multiplayer Tro-chievement [sub][sub](ouch...that hurt to type)[/sub][/sub]...anyway, the specific ones were for things in Guitar Hero something where you have to make a custom track and it has to be downloaded however many hundreds of times. Then there are the ones in Injustice-Gears of Crysis etc where you have to play ranked matches and win 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 1000, 10,000 times before you unlock the Tro-Chievement...

The unachievable achievement from The Stanley Parable. The achievement description is literally "It is impossible to get this achievement." Really, all of the achievements in that game are rather silly, such as the one where you don't play the Stanley Parable for five years, or another one where you play The Stanley Parable for the entirety of a Tuesday.

I remember in Half-Life 2: Epidsode Two, there was an achievement where you had to bring a lawn Gnone (that you found early in the game) through the entire game, so that you could put it in a rocket at the end. Not that insanely difficult to do, but it just sounds like a giant pain in the ass.

I'm only assuming there's an achievement for it, but playing through X-Com: Enemy Unknown on Impossible difficulty with Ironman mode enabled. Yeah that should pretty much explain the "almost impossible" part.

Not "achievements" per se, but if anyone ever played the awesome old-school FPS 'Painkiller', by completing certain extra objectives during the missions, you could unlock cards that would give you additional abilities and bonuses, and some of the criteria for card unlocks was downright absurd (you'd have to beat an entire mission using only a certain weapon, complete insane jump puzzles to get to secret areas, etc.).

But, it felt real good to not only read that statement, but to agree with it with the full force of my birthday-filled body... I'm more upset with those kind of Trochievements when they're not separate from the single player "campaign"... How the hell am I suppose to get 100% on single-player Trochievements when I HAVE to get the multiplayer Trochievements along with it? (It's even worse when you can tell the multiplayer's tacked on like in AO... or you know when you literally have to cheat in order to get said Trochievement...)

OT: Besides what I quoted from <link=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Shoggoth2588>Shoggoth2588, there was this one Trochievement[footnote]I'm now going to be saying this word whenever I talk about stuff like this... I love it that much...[/footnote] in Lollipop Chainsaw that was so luck-based, I don't know if I should be more mad or not that it's a bronze trophy on the PS3 version...

Other than that, I just LOVE when the Trochievement not only has an interesting, yet sounding irrelevant title, but the way you get it does not correspond to the description it gives you... (I'm kinda looking at you, Skullgirls... No, I'm not mad about it... I just always need to go in with a Trochievement translator most of the time...)

There was a battle trophy in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time for defeating the final boss at level 1. Yeah... was pretty intense ;)

well a trophy for ironman on classic or impossible but yeah still very difficult... well before slingshot anyways if you can manage to pull off that side mission it's a great boost to funds, tech, and adds a moderately ranked heavy to the team since spending money is so hard to gather early on and thing are a bit more expensive for certain things and keeping all 16 funding nations is all but impossible on impossible but slightly more doable on classic.

The best of the best multiplayer ones can go burn in a fire for all I care most of the time. I mean I get it that you want to "reward" players but that makes it it either an endurance thing to out play others or to rank up to X. I say make the set of trophies need to get Platinum or 100% should exclude all or most of reach level cap and best of in online mode "X" and have 101%-110% be those extra rare "The best of the best, of the best." section then when you see a list it'd be they saw all of the game had to offer and they owned/defeated all that stood before them.

For silly? I enjoyed finding out unknowingly that there was a trophy for jumping a 4x4 off a cliff X feet high and "landing" no vehicle fall damage (not into deep water or being killed first) in Warhawk because was something I was doing already before trophies were patched into the game.

5-day and 7-day Survivor in Dead Rising, made hard due to only being achievable in infinity mode where you lose health every 12 seconds with no replenish-able food.

World of Warcraft's School of Hard Knocks, where you have to have your child out during Children's week and somehow get a flag from one side of a battleground to another, otherwise maybe A Little Helper from my Friends...that one where you have to have an effect up and get 50 kills, which sounds alright. except the effect itself is lost on death, good luck trying to rack up kills as something flimsy like a mage.

You'll likely quit which requires like 20 mins ingame time before you're allowed in another battleground, in a way, i wish it was like G.N.E.R.D Rush since all that took was a few stacks of halloween candy effects...you'll likely come across lots of the stuff trying to get the halloween basket achievements anyway.

Or there's achievements that doesn't actually count towards any metas, such as obtaining the Horseman's Reins. speaking of which, after 4 years on a single main, i actually got a Brewfest Mount, pretty sweet having a Kodo as an Ally character, Kodos look way cooler than Rams.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that these achievements are all from Holiday events, meaning people have 1 or 2 weeks to attempt them..
