Putting TB, Angry Joe, Egoraptor and Sarkeesian all lumped together kind of speaks volumes as to why you would make a strip to this. Just saying.
It does demonstrate my ability to recognize successful critics that work on YouTube. Yes.

Anita and youtube success should be used carefully since her success doesnt stem from her viewership but more from her notority that she achieved through other media outlets... she is in no way or form comparable with angry joe or total biscuit. She neither has the audience, nor the viewers... and sure as hell is not as productive as either of those two.

Heck spoony one has still more of an audience then she has and reaches more people.

If you argue that she has a bigger presence in traditional media then those two however, you would be correct indeed.

But to claim that people actually listen to her or think her critic and commentary holds any value? Yah no... people like to put her on a pedestal or use her as a shield.. her message however is routinely ignored or prettied up to justify her pedestal positioning.

For example total biscuits currator lists on Steam do have a real impact... Sarkesians however? Yeah you can hear the crickets on her lists.

A recommendation from angry joe or TB can boost sales of a game, a recomendation from anita does nothing.

On the topic of the strip itselfe.... yeah... i noticed that too.

First one i followed that did it was Spoony one and some others that had an arrangement with channel awesome (phelous for example)... but he pretty much allways had "geeky" or "nerdy" stuff in his shelfs around him.. so you cant really blame him. But more and more people on youtube think that this is a good way to proof that they are knowledgable just because they have a ton of plastic crap in the background.

It's better than that fucking youtube MRA guy who has the skull and beverages every time he's on camera. There is a fine line between idiosyncrasy and affectation.
I'm not sure which is worse - the idea he has multiple toy skulls just set up around his house, or he just has the one and moves it from location to location for each segment.

I'd rather have an alter in the background to the holy gaming trinity of Gabe Newell, the Titan X Quad SLI, and a FUCKING INTERNET CONNECTION THAT ISN'T SO UNSTABLE THAT IT MAKES THE VAC SERVERS THROW UP AND STOP CONNECTING...

Sorry it's been a rough week with regards to phantom lag with no discernible cause in TF2.
Agreed. The lag crashes my game.

OT: Maybe it would make more of a statement if the shelf of old games behind some start-up are all MVS cartridges. You'd probably only fit 5 or 6 in a shot, but that builds credit with hipsters and actual people!

If opinions are like assholes, then I'm really glad Youtube is here to let everyone show their asshole for video games

I remember that Kane lookin' ************. I always felt like I needed a wash after seeing any of his videos.

OT: I wonder how much some youtubers spend on background clutter.
