Trouble getting on to Escapist

Am I the only one who has trouble loading up the website, and loading up links on the site? It's not my internet because every single other page loads up fun, I can play online games on Xbox, PS3 and PC almost lag free, and we have a top of the range Hub and internet service provider. I've also had problems with the fourum, I post a reply, but it doesn't actually put it up, so I try again, and it posts the 2nd one twice.

Is anyone else getting this problem, it's a getting a real pain now

The Escapist is quite slow for me. Sometimes it's even slow enough that Internet Explorer says it can't access the page.

I mostly use chrome, but I used IE and Firefox as well for a comparison, and I get the same result every time

Anyways, since I'm posting here, I might as well post something relevant, no? Well, before I made this account, and lurked for Zero punctation, it went pretty smooth, but now, since I've joined..., well it's been a lot slower. coincidence? I think not... However, I guess the reason why it's so slow right now, is the ''aftershock'' of the DDoS attack, but thats just a wild guess. Hope it will run smoother soon...

Well it's wednesday, so that might be part of your problem right there.

Usually it isn't this slow, but the increased traffic due to new zero punctuation slows down the whole site pretty well

Yes, sometimes it cuts out, but when it does, everything goes down. It was all working fine earlier when I was having problems. It's only been in the last 3 or 4 weeks it's been happening (website being slow I mean)

Well it's wednesday, so that might be part of your problem right there.

As I already said, I get this problem nearly every day, and not just when videos are being uploaded, it just seems to at random times of the day, one Wednesday it will be fine, the next nothing works

You might have a point here, Wednesdays are crowded.
We might ask a mod for some data to verify this.

every once in a while they lag for me too. Sometimes the site just gets more traffic. The recent DDoS attack has made it pretty clear (if it wasn't already) that the servers here aren't fantastic.

We got hacked the other day, so that could be the problem.
I couldnt get on at all yesterday.

Might be the residual effect of yesterdays dickary. Escapist was down yesterday.

I don't think it's just the day though, it's been slow for me all this week.

I recommend logging off then back on, I did it and the webpage sped right up on me.

Yesterday we got DDOS'd today is Wednesday and is ZP day, couldn't tell the difference for awhile, had to look at the date and I'm like "Oh that's why it's wednesday"

I use Chrome and it's often really slow or completely down for me too.

Yesterday, a few hours after you-know-what, it went down for me again so I checked a couple of sites that let you know if the the site you're trying to get to is up or not. According to those the Escapist WAS up except in certain areas in Europe (England exempt) IIRC.

Don't know why though.

LulzSec. They DDoSed a bunch of sites. Now it's recovering.

EDIT: Also, it's never slow for me on Wednesdays.
