Trouble with oblivion pc

I have just got oblivion for the pc, and when I go to install it stops working and says it needs to close, I have all the requirements exept im on vista not XP can any one help me?

You need to post your dxdiag to get help though, if you go to Run and run "dxdiag". Post the results on that forum.

Vista 32 bits or 64?

Been a while since I was over at the official Oblivion forums but if I remember correctly you need to install Oblivion using compatibility mode whilst signed as an admin. You then need to run the game using compatibility mode as well.

This will make me sound verry silly but ...whats compatibilaty mode. *HIDES*

I fixed it by going into my computer right clicking explore and runing it from there.
