Trouble with steam

I need help here, no idea whats gone on but I cant find help on the steam FAQ's so im turning to these forums for a straight and in English answer.

Basically, I can no longer play games I downloaded off steam, Company of Heroes, Empire:TW, Fallout 3 ect. They Keep asking me to insert a disk in order to play, but seeing as I dl'ed them, I obviously dont have one

Any help will be bloody well welcomed and appreciated

Email Steam Support. It's unlikely your problem is isolated; they can take forever to reply, but they will have the best idea of what to do/ what's gone wrong.

Apparently the servers are down, there was someone on the Escapist IRC saying the same thing.

Yes all those games have servers down. I'm sorry to say, no one can play, it's ok, you're not special.

Sorry, I thought it would be easier to say someone than to explain exactly who had been crying over the fact that the servers were down.
