So here's the problem.
I was gifted Arkham City through steam over christmas and finally got around to booting it up today. Begrudgingly I put up with the fact it had to install GFWL on my computer and attempted to login with my usual credentials I use for Xbox Live. I sends back an error message that my account has no gamertags associated with it.
"Impossible" I thought to myself, and pulled up the actual xbox live website to check my account info. Well after much frustration just trying to get into my account I pull up my account page and click on my billing history and am redirected to the "sign up" page for xbox live.
I am very confused, I have an Xbox live gamertag, I've been using it for years and yet microsoft is telling me I don't have one. Now granted, I haven't been able to plug my console into the internet for about 6-7 months but I've always been able to access my account info, and my gamertage has always been shown as to exist.
Did something change which requires I sign in with my console so it identifies that I do indeed have a gamertag? Or has my profile been lost to the ether for some contrived, shitty reason?
-EDIT-
Great, I seem to now be stuck in a state of "logged in, but not really". The site doesn't show me as logged in yet when I click "sign in" it just bounces me to the stupid sign up page with my e-mail address and birthdate already added. On top of that I can't access my university e-mail anymore because of this limbo state of login. (because my university uses something have to do with windows live for e-mail and I've got a separate account for that)
Scratch that, dunno what caused that but a browser restart let me access university e-mail again. Rest of the problem still stands though.
