Trucking sims, Just why?

Ok despite big mutha truckers being ok.. it just doesn't prove why there should be a truck driving sim genre anymore, all of the ones i have tried are just pretty boring, sure you have different loads and you make money and you need to do it fast and drive straight, but eventually it just gets way to boring!

Offhand, I would guess someone, somewhere in the world actually enjoys them. I may not, you may not, but someone probably does. Just because I don't enjoy FPS games, doesn't mean someone else doesn't.

I enjoy them, most have better physics and more realistic than car simulators, if you want an example, get rigs of rods, a freeware game based on the ogre game engine, has excellent physics

lol my god fishing doesn't need a video game.. its not even that hard to accomplish, fuck i can do it! lol same with trucking that's something that often goes on in real life and isnt that amazing, Like at least racing sims you get to race cars and do things that would cost way to much money to be feasible in real life, same with combat flight sims!

Actually i would liek to contradict myself. I remeber as a kid i used to have a fishing game off a friend i found it so relaxing. May of been because i was young. Nowadays, i dont think i would enjoy it unless the graphics looked liek reallife.

same reason why people like minecraft, they're is a audience for this style of game,
trucking sims are basically very slow racers.

Fishing, farming, flight, etc. There are countless genres I don't enjoy but they keep making them. I don't question why, I just understand that for these games to keep selling they gave to keep making money off the. To keep making money they have to keep selling, and that means someone likes them.
