My best friend. Honestly, I'm like in shock every time I see her and I've known her for four years. She is just simply amazing.
For something that isn't a person well...The Rocky Mountains are pretty amazing to see. (Still nothing compared to my best friend.)

It was not a thing, it was a place, a lake lost in the south of my country, montains sourrounding it on one side, green fields on the other, water so clean you could see the fishes below, clean air, pines.... a peaceful and perfect place

Person: Can't pick yet, though Scarlet Johansson is up there. (I would say my ex but then I'd feel a little guilty :p)
Place: Crane Beach in Barbados. Most beautiful ocean scenery ever.

"Definition: Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds."
Wait... beauty?
Well, I knew a girl a few years back and she was... wow... yeah, you get it.
And, I accidentally saw the sun go down at the Seaside somewhere in Wales... it was friggin' beautiful.

The music of Steve Vai. I love him so much for making the most beautiful guitar music I've ever heard. And I know it isn't something you see, but beauty isn't just in the eye of the beholder.

I know, it looks ugly, but that's because you haven't witnessed one in motion. 72 tons of steel, uranium and classified composite armor moving at 65 mph and turning on a dime, executing precise and spot on maneuver with more grace than you can possibly imagine. I can only compare it to the most wonderful dance you've ever seen, executed by a marvel of modern engineering.

What about close air support from group of AH-64D Apache Longbow gunships.

[small]Angels sang out as heavens opened wide, and down descended a pair of Valkyries armed with 30mm M789 HEDP ammunition and Hydra 70 rockets.[/small]

When shit gets thick, having air support is a godsend.

While a fine aircraft (Oh hell, I'd argue the best ground support vehicle in existence, with the only exception possible being the A10), I just don't think its as pretty as the M1.

We're not talking about killing power here, we're talking about beauty, not lethality, and the M1 takes that cake when it comes to military heavy equipment.

I solve problems. But not problems like "What is beauty".
Because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philospohy.
I solve practical problems. *sips beer*
For example, how am I gonna stop a mean mother-humper from tearing me a structurally new behind?

Okay, funny time over.
Beauty is The Beatles.
/thread I believe.

I guess you see her more then just your best friend.

So technology counts as beauty, hey?
DADDY, WHEN I GROW UP I WANNA HAVE ONE LIKE THIS!!!!!

I am not so much into warfare and this is my favourite car. My sister got a red one from 2006 and makes me so jealous :S. But in my country the bugger is as expensive as my flat.

Nah, because I would feel bad for saying that due to my new female friend. Don't get me wrong, she's pretty too. But my ex was gorgeous... of course, I also found out that she had a heart like a black thumbnail. Why are the prettiest ones almost always the most evil ones? o_O

Yes, you are spot on. She means a lot more to me than just being a friend. XD

OT: I find a good thunderstorm lends itself to a kind of beauty actually. I can just sit and watch the lightning flashing for hours.

Because they know they can get away with it...and look good doing it.

For this thread we will forget that this dance will inevatibly end in the murder of some particulary unfortunate fellows.

True beauty does not last. Girls age and lose the beauty of their youth, your favourite songs will cease to enjoy you, and even the most delicate technology will be obsolete. All that remains are memories.

Then again, Keats said 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever'.

Hmmm...

I'd describe the most beautiful thing I ever saw, but it might promote illicit activities.
So, instead, I'll go with a fresh heavy snowfall, when everything is blanketed in white, undisturbed. It almost always makes for the most peaceful and contemplative environments, especially in these beautiful mountains.
