So I was just having a conversation on msn about an idea I had, which went like this:

Ginja    Ninja     says:
*Today whilest coming home on the bus I continued to think about how I hate people's shallowness. What would life be like if everyone's appearance was how they choose to be or was decided by some higher power based on how much we deserve it or personality. (he typed as he ate cake). That could bring up a philosophical point. Maybe if there is a God he decided what we should each individually look like for a purpose.

Kesshhaa says:
*...
*... yewr so random = . =
        Ginja    Ninja     says:
*ik...

(Yes my msn name is Ginja Ninja)

Discussion: How do you feel about this idea? Is this something you would approve of? I think it'd be a perfect test of how you truly feel. You could also consider that if it was the case of your choice, what would you look like. I personally would like be a modest looking human...that can sprout wings (...I like wings). However, I'd like some thought in the actual point and not just "I wanna be a dragon" everywhere.

P.S. I put this is off topic and not religion and politics because the philosophy part was an after-thought to help get into the thinking frame of mind and therefore not the main idea.

I would look average, if this were to happen.

(Still better than I look now)

I care more about how I act than how I look.

I don't know...on one hand, it'd be some incentive for people to behave nicely, and be genuinely good people, so that they'd look more attractive. And no one would be able to deceive anyone else. That is, if someone else decided what we looked like based on our personalities.

If we got to choose, then I reckon it's a nice idea. But there'd need to be restrictions, otherwise everyone would give themselves certain powers, and make themselves super attractive in the most conforming way possible. Maybe it's better that it's in a sense almost randomised (to an extent) so that we're all stuck the way we're born.

I'd look like one of those guys who seem average, but something just seems... off. You can't tell what, but something just isn't right...

"Cruel intentions show true ugliness.
I have seen the crippled, the scarred, the disfigured, but despite it all they can still smile." (paraphrased, from memory)

I recall hearing one of my high school teaching aids say that when I was working in a "Peer Partners" program (a program where students can opt to assist mentally/physically Disabled students with their physical education).

It changed my perspective a bit on the concept of form. These people could adapt and be happy, so why couldn't I?

Though if pressed, I suppose wings and a tail would be helpful for travel.

Well alot of people would probably look like Anime Characters if we chose late in our lives. If not I dunno.

I would love to look like L, Vegeta or Takato Matsuki...

Then again, I wouldn't be me.

Calumon: I like how I am thanks. ^^

If my looks were decided by how much I deserved it based on my personality, I have no idea how I'd look.

If I could choose, myself; I guess I would have went with avearagely attractive. Or maybe I'd just make myself as attractive as I could. I don't know. I like the thought of being able to sprout wings though.

And now I sort of want to be a dragon because of the OP...

Suppose the higher power bases it off your true personality rather than just your deeds, so you can't change it, except maybe by having some huge revelation.

I say there are not power behind changing appearance. Even my desried massive wings would probbaly be useless based on my being heavy.

The main idea of this was me hoping that if people were on the same ground in looks or expressing how'd they'd like to look, people would no longer be prejudice and all the arrogant jerks that I hate will be left alone since others offer genuinely good personality aswell as looks. (Obviously me being a raged filled jealous nerd fueling that idea)
Also it would say more about the personalities of those who may choose not to be attractive.

Well if being good would mean that you look good, then I'd be fucking gorgeous.

Me wants naturally black hair (apparently I have black hair even though its really dark brown) with Sanzu lines (explaining they're natural to my school just seems funny to me)

A bit taller, I'm fairly short for a guy of 17

A different eye colour to blue, its boring having a really common eye colour

You mean I can be 20 pounds lighter, a little more muscular, and look more like Brad Sherwood than Colin Mochrie from the forehead up? Sign me up!
