True Detective dream partners

Well since the first season of HBO's anthology show True Detective has come to a close, I was wondering what actors they would like to see be partners in the subsequent seasons.

My picks:
Ed Harris and Josh Brolin
Keanu Reeves and I don't know who should be his partner, but Keanu would be great for the show
Ed Norton and Sam Rockwell
Viggo Mortensen and Donal Logue

That's all I have so far.

The idea of Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen is fetching. They already worked together a couple of times, the last time was as the cowboy team in Appaloosa, and they have terrific chemistry together. I'd love to see them work together again. Though I don't know if it would be in the spirit of True Detective. I get the feeling the acting duo should sound unlikely at first, kind of like what happened with Harrelson and McConaughey.

I read somewhere, sometime - maybe it was an "official rumor", maybe it was just a random thought - of Kevin Spacey and Vera Farmiga. Personally I think you could probably pair Spacey with anybody and have a winning combination but the duo sounds right together.

I love The Heat. Sandra Bullocks and Melissa McCartney team up and do it as a serious drama sounds appealing.

If it went with British Detectives, Emma Thompson and Anthony Stewart Head.

An Avengers-inspired team-up: Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo.

If you want people to go nuts, Nathan Fillion and Bruce Campbell.

This is fun. I don't want to stop.

Daniel Day-Lewis and Michael Fassbender. Honestly, the reason I picked them is that they're my two favourite actors but considering that they are both immensely talented (I think Day-Lewis is the best actor alive), I'm sure their dynamic would be great.
