I just saw it today, it was awsome, I especially love the opening

not quite as action packed as the trailer would lead you to belive, but I already knew that since it is a coen brothers film, in fact this is probably the most straight-forward coen bros film I've ever seen, obviously because its based on a book though it dose still have some of their trademark quirkyness

So... are we supposed to discuss if we liked it or not?

If so, then I didn't like it that much.

It was okay and the performances were good but the story was kinda boring and it was probably the worst Coen brothers film I've seen.

So...you want to talk about <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.254454-Marter-to-the-Movies-True-Grit>True Grit, eh?

Well...my thoughts are pretty much all in the link I provided for you. So...uh...I don't have much more to add.

I liked it, but it was missing...something. Not sure what, but it just wasn't as captivating as I was hoping it would be.

I supose so

I can see where your coming from, that was the only thing that it let me down on, was I felt I already knew how things were going to turn out there wasnt that extra bit of suspense (unlike black swan which I saw on monday OMGBESTMOVIEEVER!!)

but I thourght it had its moments, like when poor old blackie had to be shot, that was particually heart wrenching, and like I said that opening with the monologue was beautifly done, also Im sure you would agree that girl did a very impressive job, her charachter made the movie for me

I can agree with that. I suppose that had more affect on me than you but still, I see what you mean :3

And of course. Haily Steinfeld (or however you spell her name. My spellcheck is antisemitic apparently) did an amazing job in her role. But that didn't really "make" the movie for me as I still wasn't wowed by it when I walked out of the cinema.

And yes.... Black Swan is fucking amazing :3
