Trying Jazz music.

I love the movie Chicago and its' music.
I picked up a taste for Amon Tobin from Splinter Cell 3

And over the last few days, I've been listening to this song over and over again:

So I'd like to ask you cats what artists to check out to give Jazz and Blues a chance.

Like with lots of dissonance, changes in tempo and tune, and foot-tapping or head swaying energy, with a nice, dark and smoky

drunken
raucous
back alley

atmosphere.

I assume you've heard of Cowboy Bebop... Its soundtrack by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts is about 85~90% jazz and blues.

Not big into Jazz - although I'm always willing to learn to like more music!

Love old Blues though, but I'm not sure if youre after stuff this old? Regardless, its real fucking Blues, although the guys and the songs posted here are pretty well known
