Trying to remember a game??

Hi everyone, i am trying to find out the name of a game me and my dad used to play when i was a kid.
There are two characters u can play, either a soldier looking man or a creature-rock looking man. Each character can choose a sidekick which is some weird looking creature, the only one i remember is name is itchy or sumthing. As you go through the levels you must shoot robots and find your way to the end which is a portal, at the end of the level are four different coloured alien things with torsos stuck in stone blocks and they are chanting. This is all i can remember of this game. Its playstation 1. If anyone knows what it is, please tell me

I think the game you are talking about is Small Soldiers. Man. I haven't played that game in years.

Ah this was one of the first games I owned for the ps1! Ahh nostalgia! But yeah, I think the game the OP is describing is Small Soldiers.
