I was looking at my DS that I got the day it came out and was looking to get a new lite but was wondering how much I could get from selling it on ebay to see if there are any collectors there but I was trying to see how much does everyone think it is worth. It is in fine condition just a little worn from constant use. battery is also fine.

Anyway, a quick search on ebay told me that you probably shouldn't expect more then about £25 for it, probably far less.

I'd advise that you trade in your DS as part exchange when buying the DS lite, as often the game stores offer you a better deal that way. Unless of course you plan on buying the DS lite on ebay as well...

don't know how much you will get, but sell it quickly before Nintendo releases another 10 types and your one will be worth noting.

Thanks I looked on ebay but could only see lites and I hadn't thought about exchanging.

Yeah, they aren't exactly common on ebay. I found maybe four, with the prices varying mainly due to the fact that some of them were sold with other things as well.

The only original DS I could find that was being sold on it's own was rather disappointingly priced at £10 with roughly 5 hours left on the auction. I guess it could have gone up, but it didn't seem likely to change a great deal to me.

Unless the gaming stores offer you an even worse deal, I'd stay away from ebay here.
