...why you have a copy of a 25 dollar game you dont wan't?
Actually, I won it myself. There's a video series on youtube called SteamShots, which is done by ShotGaming. ShotGaming is itself an offshoot (if that's fair to say) of SomethingAwful, being ran by the main moderator of it's Games forum.

Each episode reviews the last five games released on Steam, and rates them based on how drunk you have to be to play them.

They regularly give away copies of the games they review, and I won this one. Rather than just waste it, I figured I would try to find it a home.

How are you going to randomly pick one?
I'm just going to use a program to give a random output based on whatever inputs I give it. In this case, the names of the people who want it.

Well my friend has been begging me to buy an RTS to get me into the genre. So I suppose this could be something I'd be interested in.

Sign me up.

Just because it's being lauded as "the next Starcraft," I'll throw my name in the hat.

Weren't they paying attention?
XCOM is returning, and people aren't playing StarCraft II so much anymore.
The market is telling us we need more Turn Based Strategy, less Real Time Strategy.
Besides; it's real time, or strategy, not both.

I want it!!! Sorry, the last RTS I played was Age of Mythology, so maybe I'm not cut out for modern RTS anymore.

Combat tends to unfold in real time more often than each side waiting for the other commander to let his guys move.

Although, after my own time in Iraq, it sure as shit *feels* like you sit around waiting for your next turn.

Video games and real life are different in that regard.
In real life, you can lay out a plan, plan steps in advance, and people can follow it without you being there for every little step.
In video games, your ability to carry out the plan in real-time is limited by your ability to work with the interface.
That's why professional Starcraft players have to do like 80 moves a second.
Your strategy is limited by your ability to carry it out.
Turn based strategies have no such limitations.

True, but this just means they have a different type of strategy, not that real-time games have none at all.

I disagree - many RTS games have both strategic and tactical elements. Take Starcraft, for example. A build order is an example of strategy. Determining where to send a particular task force of that build order is a tactical decision.

Sign me up, it looks very well done of an indie game. I've always loved RTS, so this may be awesome.
